Based on the technology basis research project of highly integrated miniaturization Ring Laser Gyroscope(RLG) circuits, the thesis mainly focuses on miniaturization of RLG’s high voltage power. Using technical plans of piezoelectric transformers instead of electromagnetic transformers, the author develops one set of RLG’S high voltage power, which succeeds in engineering tests and application experiment.Main factors affecting highly integration and miniaturization of RLG circuits is miniaturization of high voltage power. Through researching, the author finds output voltage of piezoelectric transformers possessing characteristics of various loads to meet needs of He-Ne ring lasers in RLGs. Piezoelectric transformers are good at small size, concise structure, non-flammableness, no electromagnetic radiation, high reliability et. Therefore, design scheme advocates using piezoelectric transformers for miniaturization.Focusing on piezoelectric transformers, the thesis establishes overall plan about RLG’s high voltage power. It briefly introduces working principle of negative high voltage generating circuits with frequency conversion control, which automatically switches between starting voltage and sustaining voltage. Then, it elaborates design methods of negative high voltage generating circuits, which consist of pulse-width modulation controllers, bridge inverters, piezoelectric transformers, rectifier filters, and resistance sampling networks. It designs necessary current control circuits and logic state control circuits. Finally, it develops and researches small practical high voltage power.With temperature tests, high voltage power can reliably output 2700 V pressure, lighting RLGs to discharge, and it can stably provide-700 V sustaining voltage for gyroscopes working. When single arm current is at 0.6±0.005 m A, through connecting gyroscopes, constant-current accuracy of high voltage power can be tested as follows: stability of single arm current outperforms 1.135×10-3,stability of double arm current difference outperforms 1.553×10-4,variation of double arm current difference is 0.186 u A at maximum and better than 0.2u A. Under identical load condition on gyroscopes, quotas can be tested of RLG’s zero bias stability is equal with electromagnetic transformers’ quotas. Results show piezoelectric transformers can be applied in RLG’s high voltage power with technical vantages of high integration, minimum volume, thinness, lower power consumption and reducing electromagnetic interference, which posing important realistic meaning for adapting highly integrated miniaturization RLG circuits.
