Development and utilization of crop straw is a valuable renewable resource, corn hasbecome China’s largest production of the highest acreage crops, their straw yield very rich. With the social development, traditional agriculture to agricultural modernization, developingagriculture and animal husbandry and industrial transformation of straw increased demand, thetraditional way of straw utilization faced with severe challenges, corn stover retention andrecycling more and more people concern and attention. In this paper, maize productionmechanization weak link-mechanized harvesting corn stover, corn stover bale affecting thequality of a bundle diameter, a key factor in the twine tension, stem length were cutexperimental and theoretical analysis.Firstly, for the twine tension and corn stalk bundles of relationship between the diameterof the circle to simplify the model, theoretical analysis and experimental design, analysis oftest results by function curve fitting relationship between the two for the next bale test providestheory and data basis; Secondly, the biomechanical properties of the corn plant pilot studymeasuring some mechanical parameters, including corn stalks axial tensile strength, compressive strength, elastic modulus and Poisson’s ratio, is calculated to provide a bundle ofrope tension reliable theoretical and experimental data; then introduced rheological modeltheory, build and validate corn stalk bundles rheological model, corn stalk bundles of stressand strain conducted a qualitative analysis of round bales balers lower power consumption andimprove the design and optimization to provide a theoretical basis bundle rates, also raisedcorn stalk bundles elasticity assumptions to simplify the model and its analysis of the strain cantake advantage of a bundle of energy conservation methods deduced very close to the actualbundle calculated the size of the rope tension, for the design and optimization of a round balertwine tied knot institutions and strength, twine material selected to provide a strong theoreticalreference; Finally, corn stalks laying subsequent baling combine harvester on the appropriatelength of baling corn stalks cut no scientific theory and other issues, were suitable for balingcorn stalks cut the length of trials, with results suitable bale bale size-dependent cut the lengthof the stem, to shop put the corn stalk bale collection and further optimize placement deviceplacement corn stalk harvester provides a scientific theory.
