Water is an irreplaceable natural resources and economic resources for human survival.Due to the rapid population growth and accelerate the economic pace.Our requirement for water is gradually increased, but our country is short of water, this situation will be restricted the development of people’s life and the economic.The Madihao irrigation is located in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Tuoketuo country.This irrigation is one of the most important grain producing (the main producing crop is maize) irrigated in the distract. According to the National Eleven Five Year and Twelve Year Plan in irrigated about finding out the status of this irrigation so plan to test the efficiency for guiding the local resident have a reasonable planting to plant and irrigate. It has an important practical significance. This paper will use the Penman-Monteith equation to calculate the crops water requirements, and through the practical ascertain by measuring and analyzing the different growth stages and different quota include crop height, stem diameter, chlorophyll content, leaf area index to put forward a suitable crop water requirements and the need water law for Madihao irrigation.This issue adopt the method of the change of water and the method of water balance to calculate the every field net irrigated and the water use efficiency. Finally, according to the Area-weighted method to calculate every field net irrigated and the full of irrigated’s net irrigation and water use efficiency.Through research and analysis,the conclusion is as follows:(1) Crop water requirements and variation:tabuban plots in2012,2013crop water requirement is402.1mm,403.7mm. dabeiyao plots in two years is349.5mm,347.55mm, Zhongtan plots in2013is424.2mm, liangjianfang plots in two years is400.3mm,429mm, The variation of water requirements in four plots has the same rule is growing middle stage> fast growing> growth stage> initial growth.It has a great impact on crop yields when ensure adequate water in the crop growing middle stage.(2) Irrigation canal water use efficiency is0.576;(3) Irrigation in2012、2013net irrigation quota and field water use efficiency are90.6053m3/acre,0.8063;76.5051m3/acre,0.8231;(4) Basis on the head and tail method and the typical cannel test method to calculate the irrigation water efficiency are0.474,0.464;0.523,0.474in the two years.(5) According to the head and tail method to verified the typical cannel test,it can see the results of typical channel test method has a certain accuracy,it can be used to measure the level of irrigation and guidance the local practices.
