Artemisinin is extractive of Artemisia annual. It is a powerful drug to treat malaria, has anticancer effect and a broad market prospect. Trichoderma asperellum is one of Trichoderma. It can promote plant growth. This experiment is plan to improve production of artemisinin through studying the soil improvement and the effects of Trichoderma asperellum. Obtain the following results:The first, This experiment proved that Trichoderma asperellum can increase of soil moisture and keep the soil moist, after60days watering. It also can adjust soil pH value; can increase the soil hydrolysis nitrogen, available phosphorus, available potassium and organic matter content. This experiment also emphatically research that three kinds of concentration which5×102units/cm3,5×103units/cm3,5×104units/cn3of Trichoderma asperellum water Sweet Wormwood60days and compare with the control group. The results showed that Trichoderma asperellum can promote biomass and Growth of Sweet Wormwood. Especially,5×103units/cm3group of Trichoderma asperellum is most obvious. According to the preset experimental data determine the scope of the response surface. And then use the Design Exper7.0software optimize experiment condition to biomass of Sweet Wormwood, from the four factors of the response surface that the concentration of Trichoderma asperellum, sunshine time, irrigation water, environment temperature, and three levels experiment. Results show that the best culture conditions for biomass growth:s the concentration of Trichoderma asperellum is5500units/cm3; Sunshine time is4.5h; Irrigation water is650ml; the environment temperature is27.5℃. Finally, the experiment from the best culture conditions to develop act and the control group (not irrigating Trichoderma asperellum)60days, make it grow up completely. Using petroleum ether ultrasonic extraction and high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), the content of artemisinin is analyzed. The results show that the content of artemisinin which had water Trichoderma asperellum is1.8times of the control group. Therefore, Trichoderma asperellum is not only enhanced the biomass of Sweet Wormwood and improve the production of Sweet Wormwood. It also enhanced the content of artemismin.
