SQUAMOSA promoter binding protein (SQUAMOSA PROMOTER BINDINGPROTEIN, referred to as SBP) is a kind of later found plant specific transcription factors.They are not only widely involved in plant growth development process, and a variety ofsignal transduction of physiological and biochemical reaction, but they also regulates plantgrowth and development. It was reported that most of the grapevine SBP gene family havemiRNA156control site, then grapevine SBP gene family has been divided into foursubfamilies according to the functions of different genes in2013. One subfamily includingSBP11gene related to inflorescence formation development, while the homologous geneSPL3/SPL4/SPL5in Arabidopsis thaliana has been reported the function of regulating theflower development, but grapevine SBP11genes was not reported about controlling flowerdevelopment so far. Based on Arabidopsis transformation to obtain SBP11geneover-expression strains, plant phenotype observation, data statistics and significant erroranalysis with SBP11gene expression analysis for three generation T3strains obtained byscreening were studied. The main results were as follow:1. Morphological observation of SBP11over-expression strains and wild type. Seedgermination rate of Arabidopsis transgenic SBP11-31、SBP11-35、SBP11-36strains decreasedsignificantly, the flowering time is short7-10d for Columbia wild type C0, and the characterof plant height and pod number has obvious difference with C0. The length of leaf petiole wassignificantly longer, the angle of leaf base increased significantly, the trichome of positive leafreduced, and leaf number significantly reduced by observation of leaf of SBP11over-expression strains.2. Observation of cell morphology of SBP11over-expression strains and wild type.Results analysis showed that transgenic SBP11-31、SBP11-35、SBP11-36strains form theflower primordiumin in9-11d, compared with2-4d in advance though observingArabidopsis thaliana seedlings by adopting the mature paraffin sectioning and scanningelectron microscopy (SEM) method that was established in laboratory. The results proved thatover-expression of SBP11gene can cause Arabidopsis early flowering. 3. Expression pattern of grapevine SBP11gene. Grapevine SBP11gene was the highestexpression in flowers, and lowest in pods in Arabidopsis thaliana.
