| Pelargonium hortorum is a perfect kind of embossing materials because of its gorgeous color, long flowering period and huge production..But it is prone to fading or changing its color in the process of pressed flower. Therefore based on the application of Pelargonium hortorum’s red pigment and color retention, I provide scientific evidence for the application of Pelargonium hortorum petals in the process of pressed flower. This topic did with geranium unique series of violet as the test material. Studied by solvent method, microwave method, chromogenic reaction, thin-layer chromatography,ultraviolet-visible spectrum and HPLC-MS method to have such as extraction process, ingredient, the stability of the pigment and pressed flower protecting applications. The main results were represented as follows:The maximum absorption band of Pelargonium hortorum’s red pigment was530nm. The best test material was clean and fresh Pelargonium hortorum petals, and doing the test as soon as gathering the petals. The best extraction technology on the solvent extraction of Pelargonium hortorum’s red pigment:the extraction solvent was0.3mol.L"1HCl-ethylalcohol solvent, extraction temperature60℃, extraction time60min, solid-liquid ratio1:200, the influencing effects of each factor was solid-liquid ratio> temperature>time> solvent. The best extraction technology on the microwave extraction of Pelargonium hortorum’s red pigment: power600w, temperature60℃, time4min, and solid-liquid ratio1:200, the influencing effects of each factor was power>solid-liquid ratio>time> temperature. Considering the extraction effects were similar, and the microwave extraction time was shorter, so taking the trial by microwave extraction. The related characteristics of Pelargonium hortorum’s red pigment as follows:It contained one or several pigments of geranium, peony and cyaniding with acyl phenolic hydroxyl group structure and the3,5replaced by the sugar base;It was a certain heat resistance; Sensitive to light; Sensitive to the change of acid and alkali, and when the pH value was1,the pigment keeping the longest time; Al3+ã€Ca2+ã€Pb2+had color preserving effect to the pigment, K+damaged the pigment, the low concentration of Na+had no effect on the stability of Pelargonium hortorum’s red pigment. Sucrose, maltose, citric acid tartaric acid had some certain color preserving effect to Pelargonium hortorum’s red pigment. Glucose could damage the pigment with each concentration at each period; It was sensitive to the oxidant hydrogen peroxide, reducing agent sodium sulfite and ascorbic acid; Benzoic acid could preserve the color of Pelargonium hortorum at the different period, and low concentration (0.001%) was the best. EDTA can only preserve the color of Pelargonium hortorum’s red pigment in a certain period. When the time went to the limit (168h), it could damage the stability of Pelargonium hortorum’s red pigment. The optimal formula for color preserving agent:3%maltose+3%tartaric acid+0.01mol. L-1Al3++benzoic acid; The best soaking time of petals in the application of color preserving was1.5h; The petals of color preserving with microwave method on pressing was:450w pressed1min+750w pressed1min; The results of different light damaging Pelargonium hortorum’s flowers after color preserving showed that the effect of color preserving was obvious. The destructive test of pressed flower works results showed that the bigger of the humidity and stronger light, the more destructiveness. And the best protection for pressed flower works was the crystal protection. |
