Study Of The Growth Characteristics Of The Cultivation Pattern "Early Indica And Late Japonica" In Double Cropping Rice Systems

Abstract/Summary:
The experiment was carried out in Guangfu village Guangfu Township NanchangCounty Jiangxi Province in2012and2013. The experiment aims to explore thedouble-cropping rice cultivation pattern early indica and late japonica high-yield of theirpossibility and their causes. The main results are as follows:The aspects of production, the pattern of early indica and late japonica’s annual outputtwo consecutive years yield6.59%、3.87%than conventional models yield respectively, thedifference was significant. The early rice of two years yield differences were notsignificant; the late rice of two years yield, the pattern of early indica and late japonica’sannual output two consecutive years yield10.11%、4.08%more than conventional modelsyield respectively, the difference was significant,grains per panicle, seed-setting rate and1000-grain weight of japonica rice were higher than indica rice, which was the key point ofharvesting high yield of japonica rice. The pattern early indica and late japonica hadmore panicle and spikelets per panicle than high yield and higher yield. There was nosignificant difference in filled-grain percentage and1000-grain weight between the threepopulations.The pattern of early indica and late japonica’s population of super high yieldexhibited more tillers at the transplanting stage and achieved excepted number of stemsand tillers at critical leaf-age for productive tillers, whose max number of stems and tillerswere at jointing stage and were fewer than excepted number. Then, the number ofpopulation stems and tillers began to decrease stably, which achieved expected numberagain. At last, ratio of productive tillers to total tillers of supper high yield population wasabout76.0%, which was higher than that of population of high and higher yield. The leafarea index of supper-high-yield population was lower than that of high and higher yieldpopulation at the early growth stage, and the max leaf area index was about8.0at booting,which decreased stably and was above3.2at maturity. The dry matter accumulation wassmaller than the population of high and higher yield before jointing, and the weight wasincreasing faster after jointing, the dry matter accumulation was about15.0t/ha at heading,which was significantly higher than that of population of high and higher yield. The totalweight of dry matter was about19.2t/ha. The N content and N up taking were also higher.Comprehensive view, the pattern of early indica and late japonica’s yield higher thanconventional pattern relies mainly on foot and took a large spike basis and maintain a highseed rate (around86.0%) and grain weight (around26g), taking full advantage of lateseason warm light resources.
