This paper mainly introduces the design and implementation of remote diagnosis systembased on tobacco diseases identification. Traditionally, the recognition of tobacco diseaserelies on the expert knowledge or special experiment of biological and chemical, and it oftenneeds expert’s identification on the spot, and while these ways are laborious andtime-consuming. The application case of tobacco disease diagnosis is only limited to themultimedia interactive both here and abroad, and it cannot provide the function of intelligentdecision. Experts are facing a lot of consulting issues users and will have a larger works afternetwork access, although the existing remote consultation system avoids the experts out. Inaddition, because tobacco disease is unexpected events for uses, it need experts provide thereal-time diagnosis and individual farmers’ production and guidance controlled pest, whilealso need reduce misdiagnosis and improve the efficiency of diagnosis, but obviously theexisting schemes have all same weakness. The existing tobacco diagnosis system integrationare not high, so this paper provides a way that integrates remote diagnosis and retrieval basedon image content for auxiliary system. Tobacco disease remote diagnosis system makes theexperts have contact with farmers by audio and video and text information communication,and experts can complete the diagnosis of tobacco diseases through the Internet.Simultaneously, auxiliary diagnoses system, such as the image retrieval based on the content,can retrieval disease information from the data according the diseases leaves which farmerprovided. The remote diagnosis system provides real-time diagnosis services for farmers, andit can reduce farmer’s loss and save expert’s time and improve the efficiency.Based on the above background, this system adopts the framework of.Net platform. Itanalysis and designs main aspects of system, which includes requirements analysis, overalldesign, detailed design and the code realization and application. The system functions hastwo parts of basic function module and auxiliary module, and basic function module includesvideo consultation module, user question module, diagnosis module, chlorophyll information module, Farmland information module, meteorological information module, soil informationmodule, and auxiliary diagnoses module is a retrieval subsystem based on the image content.Besides, this system adopts the hierarchical design thought for the sake of system scalability,while the system is divided into multitier architecture, and user interface layer mainly basedon MVVM (Model-View-View Model) design pattern, which separate data from the businesslogic layer with the technology of performance and data separation to reduce the couplingdegree between system modules. This system is a combination of video online real-timecommunication and content-based image retrieval, so it will be mounted on the terminal ofdiagnosis and consultation. It makes users can quickly master the use of the remote diagnosissystem through a simple interactive operation, while the system has the good advantages ofpretty simple operations and high practicability and low cost, and can be used for variousoccasions to achieve a reliable and real-time remote consultation.
