Application Of DR In Diagnosis Of Commonchest Diseases In Dogs

Research was carried out on the healthy beagle dogs chest adopting direct digital X-ray photography systematically. In this research, the chest X-ray anatomy of dog was analysed and described, X-ray photography exposure conditions were explored, the image characteristics of different placements were compared and analyzed, and the results were applied to diagnosis and treatment of cases in our teaching animal hospital, aiming to accumulate theory basis and reference standard for imaging diagnosis of common chest diseases in dogs.By four healthy beagle dogs DR inspections on the chest and clinical cases analysis, in this research, firstly, the best exposure conditions Corresponding to different thick chest were explored; secondly, the image characteristics of four regular standard placements of different dogs were analyzed; and lastly, chest exposure conditions technical table obtained and the characteristic image difference of different placements were applied to clinical cases.The results showed that: firstly, the best DR exposure conditions of small-sized dogs(chest thick is 4~10 cm) are 50-62 k V(every increase 1 cm, 2 k V value increase), 2 m As, FFD is 80 ~ 90 cm(chest thick each additional 4 cm, FFD increase 10 cm), small focus point, no filter; secondly, the best DR exposure conditions of medium-sized dog( chest thick is 11 ~ 24 cm) is 78 ~ 104 k V(every increase 1 cm, 2 k V value increase), 2 m As, FFD is 100 cm, big focal point, a line filter; Thirdly, the best DR exposure conditions of large-sized dogs(thick chest ≥25 cm) are ≥100 k V(every increase 1 cm, k V value increases 2), 4 m As, FFD is 110 cm, big focal point, a line filter; Four, most of the beagles chest structure can be displayed on the DR images, and there is no obvious difference of DR images feature at the same standard position between different beagles, and there is an obvious difference of DR images feature between different standard placement in a same dog. In which, compared right lateral view of the same dog, left lateral view, apex more abutting the sternum, and left lateral view, open diaphragm Angle is bigger. compared with ventrodorsal view, dorsoventral view, the texture of after lung leaf show more clear, apex more to the left, and so on, those can be as an important diagnosing reference standard of DR image with chest diseases in dogs; Lastly, with the clinical application of DR exposure conditions technology table and the characteristic image differences between different placements in 151 clinical cases, the repetition frequency and radiation exposure were reduced, and the image quality was improved, and the choices of body positions and the methodes of analyzing the characteristic of the image were standardized. Combining general diagnostic and laboratory diagnostic, it enlarged diagnostic ways and improved diagnostic efficiency, was more advantageous to the diagnosis.To sum up, the application of DR exposure conditions technology table and standard positions is helpful for diagnosis and treatment of clinical common chest diseases.
