Intercropping is a trip or a ribbon in the same piece of ground planting interval oftwo or more identical or similar growth cycle crops, intensive cultivation to achieve intime and space of a planting pattern,is to improve the resource utilization of land andclimate, promote efficient farming, the continued importance of technical measures toincrease production. Intercropping can use light, heat, water, gas, intensification ofland and other resources,intercropping reasonable scientific arrangement will achievehigh efficiency, can also resolve the contradiction between crops and theenvironment,crops and crop.In this experiment, melons and sunflowers as material,intercropping under field conditions (monoculture) density and intercropping(planting) during the test. Single intercropping under study plant growth, yield,solarenergy utilization efficiency, nitrogen use efficiency changes and between Solarenergy utilization efficiency and nitrogen use efficiency relationship, to provide ascientific basis for optimizing melon sunflower intercropping technology. The mainfindings are as follows:(1) With delayed sowing date, the solar radiation in canopy on to in the lowerpart of the transmission will rise.Sowing date single on May20and June29forsunflower flowering of extinction coefficient higher than other sowing dates,theextinction coefficient of maturity stage show a downward trend.(2) Melon/sunflower intercropping system of leaf area index was significantlyhigher than monoculture systems.Melon vines stretch ending intercroppingsunflowers have a greater impact on the melon vine length, melon fruit of floweringand enlargement period intercropping sunflowers melon vine length less affected.Melon stem diameter at fruiting period, enlargement period and maturing stagesdifferences between treatments was not significant. Sunflower stem length wassignificantly higher than that for the seedling intercropping, monoculture in the latersowing stem length of the larger; squaring period monoculture significantly higherthan intercropping,monoculture stem length by sowing date in ascending order from early to late, melon fruit of flowering intercropping sunflowers higher than melonvines stretch ending and enlargement period intercropping sunflowers; floweringstage monoculture treatment was significantly higher than the density of each periodof intercropping; when mature melon vines stretch ending intercropping sunflowershigher than monoculture, melon fruit during flowering period and swollen forsunflower. Intercropping sowing period for each treatment were no significantdifferences in the different densities. Sunflower stem diameter was not significantdifference in seedling treatments. Squaring period monoculture significantly higherthan intercropping, enlargement period intercropping sunflowers Significantly lowerthan other treatments.Flowering stage and maturity of monoculture with melon vinesstretch ending intercropping sunflowers were no significant difference. Squaringperiod monoculture significantly higher than intercropping, melon enlargement periodintercropping sunflowers significantly lower than other treatments. flowering stageand maturity of monoculture and intercropping end of melon vines stretch nosignificant difference, but both were significantly higher than melon fruit duringflowering period and nlargement period intercropping sunflowers. Intercroppingsowing period for each treatment were no significant differences in the differentdensities.(3) Intercropping biological yield and economic yield was significantly higherthan that of monoculture overall, in the different intercropping period economic yieldis the highest spacing for the processing of45cm,monoculture and intercroppedmuskmelon quality difference is not significant. Single plate yield, single plate grainnumber, the1000grain weight and Chuck diameter of the sunflower was significantlyhigher than other treatments on melon vines stretch ending in intercropping treatment,among them, spacing of45cm is the highest.(4) Monoculture muskmelon PUE was significantly lower than on melon vinesstretch ending and melon fruit of flowering intercropping treatment, but no significantdifference with the enlargement period intercropping treatment. The middle sowingrate is higher than the monoculture sooner or later sowing sunflower light period.(5)The land equivalent ratio of biological yield and economic yield were all intercropping period is higher on melon fruit of flowering. The phase space inintercropping, interval of45cm was higher than that of other plant.(6) The nitrogen use efficiency, nitrogen partial factor productivity and nitrogenharvest index of melons on the whole is higher than that of single treatmentintercropping treatment,the difference between intercropping period spacing was notsignificant. Sunflowers on nitrogen use efficiency and nitrogen harvest index, a singletreatment for processing a certain increase compared to intercropping,but thedifference was not significant, And compared to the monoculture intercropping cansignificantly improve the NPFP.(7) There was a positive relationship between nitrogen utilization and light useefficiency of melon. With the increase in the rate of utilization of light energy, theutilization rate of nitrogen also follow the rise.
