Fuji apple is one of the main apple varieties planted in shaanxi province, however,Fuji apple tree is strict with water and soil nutrient status. It is very important to learning the nutrient uptake of young Red Fuji trees on dwarf rootstock under mild drought environments due to the lack of water resources and unreasonable fertilizer application in shaanxi province, China. Apple trees on dwarf rootstock become the trend of development of apple industry. Pot experiment was carried out to investigate the effects of different application rates of nitrogen fertilizer under mild drought environments on young trees growth and nutrient uptake. The pot experiment located in the North West Agriculture and Forestry University apple test research base and began in April 2011.(1) The application of nitrogen fertilizer was more conducive to the growth of new organs. The 0.2gN treatment was more conducive to the growth of trunk, new shoots and leaf. The root vigor of young apple trees increased significantly as the application of nitrogen fertilizer.(2) The application of nitrogen fertilizer increased the total nitrogen content of new organs. The application of nitrogen promoted the absorption of potassium, but had no significant effects on phosphorus.(3) The leaf was the highest accumulation of 15 N organs. Along with the growth period, 15 N of leaf transferred to the trunk and root gradually. From the spring shoots stop stage to autumn shoots stop stage is the highest stage of need for nitrogen of young trees(4) The 15-N absorption accumulation of the new shoots and leaf continues to increase in the whole growth period, the 15-N absorption accumulation of leaf gradually reduced in the late growth stage. The 15-N absorption accumulation of roots increased gradually.(5) The NUE of trunk had no significant difference at the stage of freshly fallen leaves. The highest NUE of new shoots and Leaf occur in the 0.2g N treatment.
