Rwarfing interstock can make the fruit has the characteristics of short canopy, convenient management, suitable for close planting, early results, high yield, good quality and so on.At present, China has established a large area of interstocks apple orchard. But after tree planted, the size, and strength of apple trees are different. This growth differences are with the type, length and penetration depth of interstock segment. To select suitable interstock, interstock length and depth for the Loess Plateau,we study the effects of different rootstocks, interstock length and the buried depth for tree growth and fruit..In different dwarfing interstocks test,we use Xinjiang wild apple /M26/ Nagafu No. 2, Xinjiang wild apple /M9/ Nagafu No. 2, Xinjiang wild apple /SH6/ Nagafu No. 2 as material. The results show that although apple tree growth in M26 combined with the other two combinations had no significant difference. Interstock M26, M9, short branch proportion are SH6 1.30 times and 1.29 times, indicating that the interstock M26, M9, nutrient accumulation of high level, are more likely to produce fruit. M26 has the highest water use efficiency, M9 is second, SH6 is the minimum. The total color of M26 fruit is the highest, showing the deepest redcoloring. The acidity is better. M26 single fruit weight, yield per plant is higher than other combinations. In root research, interstock M26 root distribution to the broad, deep, promoted the root absorption capacity, and did not cause redundancy consumption, the appropriate tree vigor, high yield, good quality and fully reflect this. The same level of management, fertilization conditions, select the appropriate interstocks is very important. Based on the above indicators, interstocks M26 is suitable for planting in the Loess Plateau. In dwarfing interstock experiments with different lengths, useing Xinjiang wild apple /M9/ Nagafu No. 2 as test material, the anvil length respectively 15, 25, 35, 45.Due to different interstock length, Fuji tree growth are different and the differences are obvious. When the length of interstock is 25 cm, shutter, fruit weight, fruit shape index, water use efficiency, yield is higher than that of the other treatments, significant difference; The total color of fruit is the highest, showing the deepest redcoloring;the acidity is better..Interstocks length is too short, the dwarfing effect is not good, resulting inexcessive vegetative growth. Dwarfing interstock length for too long, and the dwarfing effect although significant inhibitory effects on the tree growth is too strong, but economic decline. Choosing the appropriate length of the intermediate, can make the orchard growth potential tends Based on the above measurement index, the interstock length suitable for the Loess Plateau most is 25 cm.Using Malus robusta /M26/ Nagafu No. 2 as material, the interstock depth is set to 0 cm, 15 cm, 30 in different embedment depth of dwarfing interstock test. The study found that while interstock buried depth is 15 cm, fruit quality and water use efficiency, yield are higher tan 0cm,30 cm. The difference is significant; fruit color and the total color ratio was the highest, which indicated that red is the deepest and the best colour; buried 15 cm, 30 cm can promote the growth of fine roots, root length density increased significantly. But group distribution area, root volume, root absorption area of the roots of 30 cm is increased. But group distribution area, root volume, root absorption area of the roots of 30 cm is increased, the upper part of the supply of mineral elements will increase, above ground organs will be strong and healthy growth. Due to long branch to increase the proportion of consumption, is not conducive to the formation of redundancy, the vegetative growth of fruit trees. In summary, the dwarfing interstock buried depth in the Loess Plateau is 15 cm.
