The further implementation of low power consumption environment information collection system is based on the environment information collection and warning system of potato late blight in the northwest. Since the original system was designed with 51 single-chip microcomputer as the core, there exist problems of serious energy consumption and insufficient supply of power with battery, in addition, if the battery cannot be replaced in time, the system will stop running, and the acquisition of temperature and humidity can be lost, and then affect the later analysis. Thus, the aim of this research is to design a low power acquisition system to improve the shortcomings of the original system.Considering the design principles and basic methods of low power environment information collection system, this paper mainly aim at analyzing and studying on the low power design on environmental information collection. There are two aspects: one is to put forward the node low power strategy and specific solutions from the view of low power consumption hardware design; another is to put forward the low power strategy and specific solutions of software design according to the node hardware design characteristics.This system analyzed the node energy consumption of each module, and then selected the low power consumption chip MSP430F149 as the control core. In hardware design, data acquisition nodes and data aggregation nodes were designed based on the MSP430F149. Data acquisition nodes consist of CC1101 wireless module, AM2306 sensor module and level conversion module, which is used for the data acquisition of temperature and humidity. And data aggregation nodes consist of wireless module, SIM900 A GSM module, keys module and LCD display module, which is used for data integration and remote transmission. At the same time, in order to reduce the power consumption of the nodes, we choose 3.3V low voltage power supply, low frequency operation, and set the output state for useless I/O ports. In addition, double power supply technology was adopted in the data aggregation nodes to reduce power consumption.On the basis of hardware design, we completed the software design of the data acquisition and data aggregation nodes. According to the design requirements, we selected wireless communication protocol, and implemented wireless sensor network, temperature and humidity data acquisition and data integration and remote transmission. Under the low power consumption mode, we can control the chip and peripheral devices into sleep mode in time; Using interrupt method to realize peripheral device selection, so as to reduce the visit times of the peripheral devices.The data acquisition system was conducted for field installation. The experimental results show that the system can work well. Through the analysis and calculation of power consumption, the running time of the system is about 800 days, compared with the original system of 23 days, the running time was improved by 35 times. And the system has the characteristics of simple design, stable operation and low power consumption, which can meet the expected design requirements.
