Corn planting history in our country since the end of the Ming dynasty, due to its strong adaptability, corn can be planted in a very wide geographic range currently. By the end of the2012, corn has become China’s first food crop, occupies an important position in China’s grain production; and the cold northeast region of corn growing area is one of the most important corn producing areas in China. Due to the increasing acreage, regional planting and trans-regional harvesting and continuous cropping plant and other factors, the disease and pest source base accumulated year by year; plus some unreasonable planting cultivation methods and changing climatic conditions, the corn diseases and insect pests occurrence area has expanded each year, the occurrence degree increase year by year. In this case, the cold northeast region of corn growing area was as follows: corn leaf blight, represented by the occurrence of pests and diseases in recent years. Under the background of the corn acreage increased year by year and diseases and insect pests of frequent retransmission, making the forecasting and early warning of the development of diseases and insect pests are particularly important.This paper mainly by reference to the relevant literature and the field research conclusions in red star farm and zhaoguang farm in heilongjiang farm&land reclamation beian administration, understands the occurrence conditions and occurrence regularity of the corn leaf blight, and by analyzing the correlation between different meteorological factors and illness, established early warning factor of the corn leaf blight in cold region; achieved a comprehensive early warning mechanism through the early warning model combining with the field survey information; by analyzing the information of the illness characteristics of corn diseases and the incidence and disease period, established the diagnosis mechanisms of corn disease in cold region. On this basis, with the database technology, network technology, IOT technology and other related technologies, designed the the warning and diagnostic system ofcorn leaf blight in cold region; realized the acquisition and display of the real-time environmental data in the corn plot, preliminary realized the real-time early warning of the corn leaf blight in cold region and the rapid diagnosis of corn disease in cold region.System mainly has the following functions: query the data of the field environmental,using the meteorological data acquisition devices deployed in the field, monitoring the meteorological information in the field through wireless sensor networks, allowing users to view the field’s real-time environmental data and historical environmental data in the system;early warning function, using the real-time environmental data collected by the meteorological data acquisition devices, made the warning information through the early warning model in the library, combined with the information of the user independent investigations, in order to increase the accuracy of the results of early warning, achieved the real-time warning of the corn leaf blight in cold region; the cold region corn disease diagnosis function, by matching the illness characteristics of corn diseases and the incidence and onset period and images, users can make quick diagnosis of the corn disease in cold region; corn disease in cold region queries, users can query the source information, disease incidence,disease period and other detailed information by the disease name. The design of the system met the needs of the cold corn growing area, met the business needs of users, has the advantages of simple operation and visual data. Finally, the system was to be tested by the survey records and the meteorological data for two consecutive years in cold region of corn growing area, the results showed the real-time early warning effect of the system to the corn leaf blight in cold region was very good, and the rapid diagnosis of the corn disease can be carried out, at the same time, achieved the real-time environment parameters in corn fields through the wireless sensor networks, effective monitoring of corn growing environment.
