The physical and mechanical properties of corn grain is the foundation of relative data of the mechanical design and improvement of corn machines, due to the irregular characteristics of corn grain shape and some of their physical characteristics based on existing test methods, it is difficult to get an accurate value for the mechanical parameters. With the development of computer technology, more and more scholars use numerical simulation method to study on corn related machinery. The accuracy of mechanical properties of corn grain parameter is one of the main factors to influence the accuracy of its simulation results. In view of this, in this article, based on the project of National Natural Science Fund, the partly physical and mechanical properties of corn were studied by experimental and numerical simulation, The main work are as follows:(1)Grain moisture, content density, 1000 grain weight and 3D geometrical dimensions of demeiya No.1 corn were measured by Using the experiment, as well as the shape of corn grain was classified. Homemade-based coefficient of static friction test for different shape corn grain of the coefficient of static friction for the measurement.(2)In view of the rebound trend randomness of the irregular shape of particles after collision, based on the mirror imaging principle, agricultural material impact test platform was developed, the air suction device to realize the particle free fall, the height and the angle of the adjusting bolt to achieve particle impact velocity and impact angle can be adjusted, using high speed camera, can be obtained after the collision of particles the rebound velocity space.(3)Based on the platform of the agricultural material collision tests, three-different shape between corn grain and galvanized wall and inter-grain of coefficient of restitution were determined, respectively analyzed three types of corn grain with different collision parts, the effects of impact velocity and impact angle on the coefficient of restitution. Results indicate that corn grain and galvanized Wall collision, impact velocity greater coefficient of restitution is smaller; impact angle greater restitution coefficient was reduced after the first increase in the trend. Corn grain and grain-surface collision, with the increase of impact velocity and impact angle the coefficient of restitution are decreased.(4)The normal and tangential of coefficient of restitution were defined, the effects of impact angle and rebound angle on the coefficient of restitution were studied, and analysis of the corn grain and inclined collision after the coefficient of restitution change reasons. The results show that: the normal coefficient of restitution increases with increasing impact angle and rebound angle, tangential coefficient of restitution decreases with the increasing impact angle and rebound angle, corn grain after the collision is the rotation of one of the main reasons affect the collision coefficient of restitution changes.(5)This paper proposed a method by using a discrete element method and combines physical experiments to determine the coefficient of rolling friction of corn grain groups. On the front through homemade test platform for corn grain of the coefficients of restitution and coefficient of static friction, Based on the discrete element method software EDEM, under different rolling friction coefficients of corn grain accumulation is simulated in galvanized sheet, analysis the impact of the coefficient of rolling friction on piles. angle of repose of corn grain were extracted by using MATLAB image processing technology, and apply the golden section method to determine the ranges of corn grain rolling friction coefficient, single-factor test to obtain the relationship between corn grain rolling friction coefficient between its angle of repose, Compared with the physical test results of determination of rolling friction between values between corn grain and corn grain and galvanized sheet. The results showed that corn grain rolling friction coefficient between its angle of repose is a linear relationship between the increase through the contrast experiment confirmation, the corn grain rolling friction value which this article obtains is precise.Results of this study may be related to the mechanical design of improved corn and corn grain within the discrete element motion simulation study provides a theoretical basis, and Provide a reference for the measurement method of physical agricultural material mechanics of irregularly shaped particles parameters the restitution coefficient and rolling friction coefficient.
