Water supports lives of human and other animals. It is the major factor of economic growth, and its availability has been reducing over time, therefore, the technical development of agriculture irrigation aims at an effective irrigation with low cost of water. Additionally, rain water is one of the natural resources to utilize. On the other hand, China is populated, it has a land with more mountains, more wasteland and less arable lands, and there is little space for constructions. Studies suggested that in China approximately one fifth ofarable land is hillside fields. Thus, a well-developed management of sloping farmland is necessary. Provided these, research on rainwater irrigation system of sloping farmland could provide us with a systemic development of irrigation technology. In this study, we reviewed recent technical developments of rain water irrigation and management of sloping farmlands, and proposed rainwater irrigation system of sloping farmland. This system is a highly efficient way to utilize rain water resource with circulation, with a process of "rain-land accumulation of water-saving-irrigation". This system could provide water for sloping farmland dispersed agriculture lands, and improve the agriculture productions rate.In this study, we put forward a method to improve irrigation rate of the sloping farmland and volume of small water-saving tank, and optimized the tank structure. This could be a solid reference for the designs of rainwater irrigation system of sloping farmland, and I illustrate the effects of land depth and structure on water motion and vaporization. In this proposal, we design systems of data collection and wireless communication for database and data processing that runs case-specific application and Internet-based information transmission which allows us to monitor in real-time.With preliminary trial, we found that the system can increase the productivity and utilize water in a highly efficient way. Under a wise management and well development, this system could be financially valuable and worth to implement in wide scale.
