The Survey Of The Grassland Resources Of Wuhai City Based On 3S Technology

In this paper, we take the Wuhai city as the study area.With the support of RS (remote sensing), GIS (geographical information system) and GPS (global position system) (hereinafter referred to as "3S" technology), we did a analysis of the grassland resources of Wuhai City of Inner Mongolia to provide data supports for the sustainable development of Wuhai city、the rational utilization of the grassland and the grassland ecological system. The main conclusions of this thesis are as following:1. On the basis of the ground survey data combining with historical data,we determine the grassland type classification system of Wuhai city is divided into 4 types,7 sub types, 11 groups,25 grassland types.2.The grassland area of Wuhai is 205.44 million mu, the improvable area is 179.31 million mu. Among them, the temperate desert steppe is 23.56 million mu, the temperate steppe desert is 135.31 million mu, the temperate desert is 22.82 million mu, and the lowland meadow steppe is 23.75 million mu.3.The temperate desert steppe’s average per unit area yield is 16.25 kg, the total yield of the type is 34.89×105kg. The the temperate steppe desert’s average per unit area yield is 31.82kg, the total yield of the type is 35.45×106kg.The temperate desert’s average per unit area yield is 47.01 kg, the total yield of the type is 65.36×105kg, and the lowland meadow steppe has the highest total yield of grass, it was13.82×108 kg and its average per unit area yield is 50.51kg.4.The temperate desert steppe’s average grazing capacity of warm-season and cool-season is 3004 sheep units and 1666 sheep units.The temperate steppe desert ’s average grazing capacity of warm-season and cool-season is 28120 sheep units and 17947 sheep units.The temperate desert’s average grazing capacity of warm-season and cool-season is 3920 sheep units and 2645 sheep units.And the salinization lowland meadow steppe’s average grazing capacity of warm-season and cool-season is 9311.82 sheep units and 6477 units.5.The degradation, desertification, salinization total area is 192.12 million mu of Wuhai City glassland. The degradation area of the glassland is 111.90 million mu.The area of desertification glassland is 68.36 million mu, and the salinization area of the glassland is 11.87 million mu.
