This paper is based on the comprehensive description of the plant resources of the home and abroad urban landscape including city park and investigation of the landscape application,with the method of field survey and classification analysis, comprehensively investigate and analyse the species、life form、ornamental characters and application status etc in landscape architecture of green landscape plants in LIUZHOU horticultural exposition garden, submit the characteristics of the plant application,dissect the major existing problem of plant application, and preliminarily propose the corresponding suggestion. The investigation and the analysis results are as follows:1.The landscaping plant species diversity is rich.The park has a total of 322 vascular plant species (including varieties, varieties), belonging to 101 families and 222 genera, Including ferns 6 families 6 genera and 8 species of gymnosperms having 8 families,8 genera and 9 species of angiosperms having 86 families, 208 genera and 305 species (including 68 dicotyledon families 142 genera and 205 species of monocotyledons, plants of 18 families and 66 genera and 100 species).2. Plant landscaping use is rich and varied.Botanical Garden Expo garden green space can be used for garden, garden plants most, as 174 species, belonging to 36 families and 117 genera, accounting for 38.58% of the total species; the second are for potted plants, including32 species, accounting for 29.27% of the total species; the least is the lawn plant, only one. The garden uses diversified green plants have 151 species, accounting for 46.89% of the total species.3.
