Evaluation On The Ecological Benefit Of The Snails Control And Schistosomiasis Prevention Forest On Hillock In Anhui Provine

The forest ecological engineering for shistosomiasis prevention is a special construction of protection forests, which is through building the snail control and schistosomiasis prevention forest(FSCSP) to control schistosomiasi and become rich. 11984.11 hectares of FSCSP were built in Anhui. The research advances of the ideas forming of FSCSP, the construction technology and business model of FSCSP, and the evaluation index system for the comprehensive efficiency are described comprehensively and systematically in this paper. Moreover, the paper introduced the construction statue of FSCSP and assessed comprehensive benefits. Some existing problems are pointed out, and finally some suggestions are put forward, which could provide some basis and suggestion for further research on Hillock FSCSP and construction of forest ecological engineering for shistosomiasis prevention in Anhui province.The paper chooses such three benefits as ecological benefits, economic value and social value, including biodiversity conservation, carbon fixation and releasing oxygen, cleaning air, conserving water resource, preventing soil losses, growing living wood, forest by-product, GDP growth for investment, forestry Schistosomiasis, preventing disasters and reducing damages, providing employment opportunities and scientific research to evaluate comprehensive benefits. The value of FSCSP is 1.268 billion in every year, including ecological benefits are 656.4 million, economic value are 576.3 million and social value are 35.2 million, including forest by-product value are 491.1 million, conservation benefits are 283.5 million, carbon fixation and releasing oxygen benefits are 231.9million,which had obvious advantage.The results show that FSCFP greatly improve the production and living environment of the residents in schistosomiasis endemic regions, reduces the rate of infection and improve income of farmers. In the meantime, the ecological environment improvement of FSCSP has been prominent, and FSCFP kept and improved the water reserving and soil fertility, purified the air and mitigated the greenhouse effect, and these are conducive to health for citizen in Anhui. Most important, FSCSP provided good habitats, reproduction and migration for wildlife, and played important roles in keeping biological diversity.
