This paper concludes the ornamental characteristics of three landscape plants, Ulmus pumila cv.jinye, Physocarpus opulifolium Lutein and Cornus stolonifera Michx through observing their ecological habit, color and seasonal aspect, population characteristics and plant landscape construction and then study the diversity of plant disposition in Hohhot residence community. Meanwhile, measure the relative specific conductance and other physical signs of these three landscape plants’stems in field. Give the physiological evaluation to cold resistance of different plants. Through measuring the content of soluble sugar and soluble protein in stems, get to know permeable mass’s influence on plants resisting the low temperature. Conclude how metalloenzyme influences on plants’cold resistance by measuring SOD (superoxide dismutase). Results indicate that:1. Outdoor measurement takes advantages of the decreasing natural temperature, the relative specific conductance, proline, Malondialdehyde, soluble sugar and soluble protein of three landscape plants all show an increased tendency overall while SOD is on a declining curve.2. Artificial hypothermia stress, with forcing time increasing, the relative specific conductance, proline, Malondialdehyde, soluble sugar and soluble protein of Physocarpus opulifolium Llutein increase while SOD raises first and then declines.3. In same forcing time condition, with temperature decreasing, the relative specific conductance and soluble sugar of Physocarpus opulifolium Llutein show an increased tendency; Malondialdehyde and soluble protein raise first and then decline and reach maximum in-35 ℃ and -30℃ respectively. Proline and SOD are on increasing, declining, increasing then declining curves. Diagram is expressed as the "S" curve, but higher than contrast experimental results integrally.4. These three landscape plants are good at bearing trim, color variety, wildly used in hedgerow, color lump, cingula and model. And they are colored-leaf trees equally well for arbor and shrub, suited for constructing ecological landscape greening.
