In recent years, the lack of water resources become a general existence problem in the current and future, and in many cities, lawn irrigation without planning and management is relatively extensive, which cause a lot of water waste. Therefore, it is very important to master the water demand and water consumption law and other water-saving methods. In the hope of finding out the effective physiological water threshold value of Kentucky bluegrass and the drought resistant variety through the analytic hierarchy process, so then improving a reasonable utilization of water resources in arid and semi-arid regions.Beginning in april 2014,through the study of 4 varieties of Kentucky Bluegrass after wilting, Watering by gradients(100%FC,80%FC,60%FC,40%FC), and so on, some indexes, including soil water content, aboveground biomass, underground biomass, the time for recover after wilting, and the landscape maintenance time, were measured and compared similarities and differences between 100%FC and other moisture treatments to find out the physiological effective water threshold value of Kentucky bluegrass and the drought resistant variety through the analytic hierarchy process, in the hope of providing a reasonable irrigation system in arid and semi-arid regions. The results showed as following:(1) 80%FC is the top limit of physiological effective water threshold value of Kentucky bluegrass.(2) The lower limit of effective physiological water threshold value of Kentucky bluegrass is between 16.5% FC and 20.6% FC.(3)4 varieties of drought resistance ranked as follows:Kelland>Merit>Eva> Kitty, Kelland has the strongest drought-resistance in the 4 varieties.
