The experiment main to determine physiological indicators and antioxidant system of exogenous glycine betaine in 3 varieties of Kentucky bluegrass(Poa pratensis L.)" Midnight"," Baron" and A16 under different water conditions.Planting lawns for 7 days before spraying GB with 4 concentrations(0,50,100,150 mmol/L)for 3 days.Stress pretreatment(Od)was chosen as the starting point and the soil water content as index.Taking blade detection when the soil moisture content was 90%,70%,50%,30%(±5%).Based on the detection of its quality, osmotic adjustment system and antioxidant system, that to research 3 varieties Kentucky bluegrass with 4 different GB concentrations under drought stress,as to provide a new way of thinking for the drought resistance of lawn grass and the way of saving waterAccording to the data, drought treated groups have significantly reduced in turf quality, relative water content, chlorophyll content, proline content and antioxidant enzyme activity, which also decreased electrolyte leakage. The effect of low concentration(50-100 mmol/L)is better. The results showed that low concentration of exogenous betaine could improve the drought resistance of Kentucky bluegrass under drought stress, and make it great in physiological and biochemical performanceGenerally, the GB solution of 50-100 mmol/L is more useful than others.Application of GB could improve the ability of drought resistance of Kentucky bluegrass is mainly to improve the quality of the plateau, reducing the relative water content and chlorophyll content,to maintain moisture in the cell and the ability of photosynthesis. Also, significantly enhance the activity of antioxidant enzymes such as CAT.The active oxygen in the cell be cleaned up in time, avoiding the damage caused by oxidation, which also helps plants to reduce adverse environmental damage...
