Study On Conveying Performance Of Chopped Corn Stalks On The Screw Conveyor

Conveyor is kind of machinery which is used to convey material along a fixed route continuously. Screw conveyor is one of the important equipment in the process of straw production. Straw in our country is in large quantities, variety, but the straw utilization rate is low and most of them are burned, it not only causes a serious waste of resources, but also pollutes the environment. Corn stalks can improve livestock nutritional value by feeding them. In a practical application, the screw conveyor is an important equipment in the process of corn stalks, so it has a great significance for doing research on corn straw screw conveyor.This paper is focused on the research of conveying performance of chopped corn stalks on screw conveyor. First of all, determine performance indexes of the screw conveyor according to screw conveyor industry standards, it includes productivity, power consumption and transmission efficiency, and the corresponding influencing factors are screw shaft speed, filling coefficient and pitch. Then study on effect rule of each factor on the transmission performance index by means of the single factor experiment. Based on results of the single factor experiment, study on the primary and secondary effect order of each factor on test index by orthogonal experiment using the better level of various factors, and find out the optimal combination. Finally, the better level of various factors combination which the screw conveyor can keep better working status was found out by adopting integrated balance method.This research can provide screw conveying theory for screw conveyor conveying agricultural fiber materials, directing the designation of screw conveyor equipment, it also optimizes processing system of agricultural fiber materials. It is an important reference and basis for the follow-up research.
