We have cloned a homologous gene of CIGR, namely BvCIGR (DQ409174), from baby shoots ofBambusa ventricosa McClure. The plant expression vector pCAMBIA1304+BvCIGR has beenconstructed and transferred into rice (Oryza. sativa L. cv. Nipponbare). And then we got four transgeniclines (9R1-1,9R1-2,9R1-3and9R1-4). This study aims to analysis the biological functions of BvCIGRgenes and prospect the application prospect in rice germplasm resources. In this paper, the main research contents and results are as follows:1)PCR and real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR analysis showed that the gene has beenintegrated into the genome of Nipponbare and the copy numbers of four transgenic lines were3,2,1and2. The results of GUS staining experiments showed GUS gene expressed in the organization, likeroots, leaves and stems, which indirectly proved that the exogenous gene expressed after transformation.2)We found that the plant height, the uppermost internode length, total filled grains per panicleand1000-grain weight of transgenic plants were extremely significantly higher than that of T2H-15(control) by analysis of agronomic traits in a single copy strain9R1-3.Plant height and tillers intransgenic plants were a negative correlation significantly (0.433*). The uppermost internode length andthe1000-grain weight were correlation significantly (0.462*), and initial heading period and thousandseed weight were correlation extremely significantly (0.554**).3)We divided transgenic plants into three groups, one copy number (9r1-3), two copy numbers(9R1-2and9R1-4) and three copy numbers (9R1-1), according to the results of copy numberidentification. Correlation coefficients of plant height and the uppermost internode length in threegroups were extremely significant correlation (0.590**and0.590**).4)The research result of agronomic traits in transgenic rice showed that the plant height anduppermost internode length were significantly greater than Nipponbare.5)Transgenic lines was S or MS and Nipponbare was HS in the experiment of rice blast resistance.BvCIGR gene is possibly involved in the regulation of the internodal elongation, changed totalfilled grains per panicle and1000-grain weight of rice, and the transgenic lines stronger blast resistancethan the comparison by analysis of agronomic traits and rice blast experiment in transgenic plants.
