| With the rapid development of China’s aquaculture industry, a variety of cultured species feeding have been paid more and more attention. In the breeding process, the growth conditions of the cultured organisms, survival status, as well as the feed supply is frequently encountered in aquaculture. Due to growth in the pond water cultured organisms, make use of artificial means to observe the growth of underwater culture organisms, in this way, waste of work and time, also may cause injury to cultured organisms. To address these issues, this paper design a video surveillance system, which combined with ultrasonic ranging and image processing technology, to achieve the online real-time monitoring underwater cultured organisms, and can quickly and effectively observe the growth conditions of cultured organisms. What’s more, based on current biological density more accurately determine the survival status of the cultured organisms, and make the appropriate measures.The paper discusses in detail the composition of the system of video surveillance and monitoring principle, and to design a hardware platform and software platform. Hardware platforms mainly including:ultrasonic transmitter circuit, the echo signal processing circuit, based on the C8051F005signal control and data processing circuit, the serial communication circuit, installation of the camera, camera of lighting circuits. The software part including: ultrasonic distance measurement program of the microcontroller, the interface design of human-computer interaction, video surveillance program, digital image processing program. Finally, make use of the system to experiment and analysis of experimental data, and basically solved the problems, growth conditions of the cultured organisms, survival status and so on, which encountered in the breeding process.The characteristics of this paper lie in by the widely used USB camera monitoring, at the same time, combines the use of ultrasonic distance measurement device to calculate the camera’s field of view area, the use of image processing techniques to calculate the number of breeding creatures in the camera field of view, ultimately calculate density of the cultured organisms, so more accurately and truly reflect growth conditions of the cultured organisms, survival status and other factors. |
