At present, China’s vegetable planting acreage has reached300million mu every year andChina has produced more than700million tons of vegetables every year. China is the world’slargest vegetable production and consuming country. Parts of cabbages and green leafyvegetables are produced by large spacing planting in vegetable production. In order to realizeautomatic transplanter, a large spacing rotary planting mechanism with planetary gear train wasproposed and designed, the kinematics model are established and optimized the mechanismparameters. Conduct the research of simulation analysis, catch vegetable pot-seedlingexperiment and field planting experiment to mechanism. The specific research contents andresults are as follows:(1) By researching the domestic and foreign development condition of vegetable plantingmechanism, the characteristics of each type transplanting mechanisms were analyzed. Theanalysis found that automatic vegetable transplanting is the future direction of vegetable plantingmechanism, but the planting agencies of automatic transplanting mechanism are not well suit tothe large spacing planting. Although the semi-automatic transplanting mechanism can achievelarge spacing planting when interval send vegetable pot seedling to planting mechanism, but itwill seriously affect the efficiency of planting. Therefore it is necessary to design a large spacingplanting mechanism which efficient and can be suitable for automatic transplanting mechanism.(2) The requirements of planting vegetable pot seedling was analyzed, a kind large spacingplanting trajectory which suit to vegetable pot seedling planting was conceived. Select the driveand the overall structure of the planting mechanism. It is the first time to apply the rotation anglerelation of function φ1=φ2+k1·sin(φ2)+k2·sin(2·φ2) to design the planting mechanism driving partsin non uniform transmission. The kinematics model of large spacing planting mechanism wasestablished by the rotation angle relation of function.(3) The software of large spacing planting mechanism aided analysis and optimization wasdeveloped in VB6.0based on established kinematics model of mechanism. Through analyzingthe planting trajectory and moving posture caused by several important parameters, using the human-computer conversation optimization method,a set of mechanism parameters were foundto meet the requirements of large spacing planting.(4) The mechanism structure of large spacing planting mechanism was designed whichaccording to the optimized mechanism parameters,3D model was established and simulationanalysis the large spacing planting mechanism. Through analysis proved the structural design ofmechanism is reasonable, and theoretical analysis is correct.(5) Manufacture and fitting the large spacing planting mechanism and have been fulfilled.The large spacing planting mechanism assembled on self-designed automatic transplantingmachine of vegetable, conduct the catch vegetable pot-seedling experiment of large spacingplanting mechanism and field planting experiment. Test the planting performance of largespacing planting mechanism and analysis the effect of planting qualities when planting mouthopening and closing in different time to lowest point of trajectory. The most suitable openingtime of planting mouth has obtained, and proved the large spacing planting mechanism’sperformance is stable safe reliable and suitable to large spacing planting of automatictransplanter.
