In this study, total69pregnant mares in five breeds (Yili horse, New Kirghiz Standing Horse (NKSH),New Kirghiz Dairy Horse (NKDH), Orlov and Russian Trotter, was selected for investigating factorsinfluencing conjugated estrogens. Concentrations of Sodium17α-dihydrocquilin sulfate, Sodium estronesulfate and Sodium equilin sulfate were determined by HPLC. The correlation between the mare’s age, gestation period, urine volume and concentrations of estrogens was analyzed. Difference of five marebreeds on conjugated estrogens concentrations and content in24h urine was also analyzed. These resultscould be a reference for conjugated estrogens abstraction and urine collection.Experiment Ⅰ Analysis on factors influencing conjugated estrogens concentration of pregnant YilihorseWithin the28-38weeks of mare pregnancy, urine samples from the four Yili horse groups divided bythe age(9,10,13and15years old) and the number of (7,10,11and7horse) were analyzed. Theresults showed that:(1) Concentration of conjugated estrogens was effected significantly by gestationperiod (P<0.01),Concentration of sodium estrone sulfate and sodium equilin sulfate was effectedsignificantly by mare age (P<0.01).(2) The correlation analysis showed that there was a significantnegative correlation between urine volume and17α-dihydroequilin sulfate and sodium equilin sulfate (P<0.01).(3) The correlation analysis showed that there was a very significant negative correlation betweenage and Sodium estrone sulfate (P<0.01), and there was a significant negative correlation between age andSodium equilin sulfate (P<0.05).Experiment Ⅱ Comparison among the breeds on influencing concentration of conjugated estrogensof pregnant horseWithin the27-37weeks of mare pregnancy, urine samples from the five breed horses at the same agewere analyzed. The results showed that:(1) Contents of estrogens and conjugated estrogens were differentbetween the different breed mares.(2) Concentration of Sodium17α-dihydrocquilin sulfate was Orlovhighest and it is significantly higher than Russian Trotter and Yili horse (P<0.05). But Orlov was thehighest on estrogens content of24h. It is significantly higher than Russian Trotter (P<0.05).(3)NewKirghiz Standing Horse (NKSH) was the highest on the concentration of sodium estrone sulfate andcontent of24h. It is significantly higher than Russian Trotter (P<0.05).(4)Orlov was the highest on theconcentration of sodium equilin sulfate. It is significantly higher than Russian Trotter (P<0.05). NewKirghiz Standing Horse (NKSH) was the highest on the content of24h. It is significantly higher thanRussian Trotter (P<0.05).(5)Orlov was the highest on the concentration of conjugated estrogens. NewKirghiz Standing Horse (NKSH) was the highest on the content of24h, Orlov and New Kirghiz StandingHorse (NKSH) were significantly higher than New Kirghiz Dairy Horse (NKDH), Russian Trotter and Yilihorse.(6)The results of comparison on the content of conjugated estrogens is that Orlov>New KirghizStanding Horse (NKSH)>New Kirghiz Dairy Horse (NKDH)>Yili horse>Russian Trotter.
