China has strong production capacity in agriculture, grain needs to dry in the process oftransport and storage, otherwise the grain heap causes heating, even it will be mildewed.Every year enough waste food because of not dry or drying the waste caused up to3%of thetotal national food. So, the increased use of grain drying equipment can greatly reduce thewaste of food. In our country, the use of grain drying equipment is not widespread. On the onehand is because of most of grain drying equipment for large equipment in addition to theexpensive price; On the other hand is due to the large population in our country, most farmerstake use of the sun to dry grain, but natural drying is subject to weather conditions. Becausethe small grain drying equipment installed easily has lots of advantages,such as relatively lowprice and high drying efficiency, therefore, vigorously promote small grain drying equipmentis a trend of social development, which is one of the important way to solve the problem ofgrain drying.Grain drying is a huge energy consumption process, which involving the heat masstransfer process is relatively complicated, it is not only related to dry weather conditions, thephysical properties and quality of the grain itself, but also with grain drying process and theparameters of the drying medium. Therefore, getting the law of grain drying is crucial to makereasonable grain drying process. Because of long cycle, high cost and repeated poormaneuverability in grain drying process, Getting the best technological conditions through theexperiment not only wastes manpower and material resources, but also greatly increased thecost of production, so it is imporment to use numerical simulation method to replace theexperimental operation, and then to verify the simulation result through the experiment.This study is based on the computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and grain dryingknowledge, researching the mathematical modeling and the corresponding simulation analysisof flow field in the grain drying process, especially in the grain heap of wet coupling heattransfer mathematical model. In addition, in order to express the relationship grain and airhumidity, we write UDF program based on the VC++and then use the software of FLUENTto simulate and analyze grain drying process. The main research is temperature, velocity,humidity and drying time of grain drying medium how to influence the drying process, at thesame time, the location, quantity and cross section shape of the angular box of the grain dryerwere considered, using experiments to verify simulation results, we get the distribution law ofimportant factors in the influence of grain drying process, which provides importanttheoretical guidance for the production and actual application value.
