In order to investigate the effects of different temperature and humidity on the quality of flue-cured tobacco K326 during stem drying stage, the experiment was respectively conducted to make a contrast different temperature and different humidity during the stem drying stage in the bulk curing barns in Aihua District,Xunxian County,Lincang City,Yunnan Province in 2015.Through the comprehensive analysis and evaluation on appearance quality, chemical composition, physical characteristics and sensory quality, the optimum temperature and humidity were screening and the quality differences of tobacco leaves under different environmental conditions were definite during stem drying stage. The results were as follows:1.Different humidity conditions during stem drying stage had important influences on the appearance quality, chemical composition, physical characteristics and sensory evaluation. When the wet bulb temperature of middle tobacco leaves was kept at 40 ± 0.5 ? in the period of 54 ? ~ 60 ? and 41 ± 0.5 ? in the 60 ? ~ 68 ? during stem drying stage, the ratio of orange was higher, the chemical components was more coordinated, the physical properties was more suitable and the aftertaste was more comfortable, the gas was lighter. When the wet bulb temperature of upper tobacco leaves was maintained at 40 ± 0.5 ? in the period of 54 ? ~ 60 ? and 42 ± 0.5 ? in the period of 60 ? ~ 68 ? during stem drying stage, the ratio of orange to yellow and the maturity were higher, the chemical composition was relatively harmony, the aroma quality was better, the irritation was weaker and the gas was lighter.2.When the highest temperature of the middle and upper leaves was among 67 ± 0.5 ~ 68 ± 0.5 ?(67.5 ? ± 1.0 ?)during stem drying stage, the quality of the tobacco leaves was the best.It was that the physical properties were relatively suitable, chemical composition was coordinated, the aroma quality was better, the amount of aroma was quite adequate, the stimulus was weaker, the gas was lighter and the aftertaste was more suitable.3.On the basis of the study of both various temperature and humidity experiments during stem drying stage, the optimum temperature and humidity of middle tobacco leaves was dry bulb temperature with 54 ? ~ 60 ? and wet bulb temperature remained at 40 ± 0.5 ? in the pre-period of stem drying stage, and dry bulb temperature with 60 ? ~ 68 ? and wet bulb temperature remained at 41 ± 0.5 ? in the post-period of stem drying stage;the upper tobacco leaves was dry bulb temperature with 54 ? ~ 60 ? as well as wet bulb temperature with 40 ± 0.5 ?and dry bulb temperature with 60 ? ~ 68 ? as well as wet bulb temperature remained at 42 ± 0.5 ? in the pre-period and post-period of stem drying stage respectively.
