Rice transplanter is the mechanization of rice planting equipment. Among the manyfood crops, the higher technical and seasonal of rice planting is required. The hydraulicprofiling technique of rice transplanter is an effective method on the depth control ofseedlings, which enhances the survival rate and tiller effect, and the performancecharacteristics of which will directly affect the whole performance.At present, the profiling system of domestic transplanter mostly employs themechanical hydraulic structure, using a large number of bars and elastic element, whichmakes it complicated and have a poor adjustable accuracy and response time.Moreover, theprofiling system of rice transplanter can only do copying at travel direction, once the tiltoccurred on both sides, the system will lose its effect.According to the shortages of profiling system of rice transplanter, this paper designedan electro-hydraulic servo profiling system used for high-speed rice transplanter, and anovel method for terrain detection in paddy field was proposed utilizing the vibration ofrice transplanter body. In order to improve the control performance of electro-hydraulicsystem, the thought of fuzzy reasoning was also introduced, combined with PID controlwhich can be fuzzy, self-tuning and adjustable online with three PID parameters.The specific research mainly includes the following three aspects:First, the structure design of profiling system. In this paper, a group of four-barhydraulic ele-vating mechanism was installed on both sides of the interpolation to preventthe tilt with transplanter body. In the method of terrain detection, three acceleration sensorsfitted at the body were designed to detect the terrain in paddy field.Second, the electro-hydraulic control of profiling system. The working process ofprofiling system for high-speed rice transplanter generally included lifting andneutrality.The traditional method was to use the sensor’s dead zone as the neutral processof profiling system, but the reliability and practicability was not high. Therefore, a newmethod adopting power-position switch control for profiling system was put forward to solve the transition issue from lifting to neutrality. In addition, according to theperformance requirements of rice transplanter in different process, the model ofposition-feedback control in lifting process, power-feedback control in neutral process andpower-position switch control were respectively established by using the Matlab/Simulinksoftware platform. This paper also compared the control effect of two methods bysimulation. The results showed that fuzzy PID control had greatly promoted the controlperformance of the system compared to traditional PID control in different process.Third, the synchronous control simulation of profiling system. The copying shapesystem used two sets of four-bar hydraulic elevating mechanisms and hydraulic cylindersfor synchronism output. Thus, there was a need to study synchronous control performanceof them. This paper employed AMESim and Simulink simulation software platform to buildthe model of hydraulic lifting system with two synchronization-control hydraulic cylindersfor interpolation, which also chose master-slave control as the strategy. Then, the PIDcontroller and fuzzy PID controller were respectively applied in the simulation of profilingsystem. The results indicated that when using fuzzy PID control, the following error ofplanting arm around the lifting mechanism was obviously decreased.
