In China, most of the aquaculture farmers adopt the method of experience in aquaculture management, but the information of water quality obtained by this method is not very accurate, and it causes the inefficient management of water quality, the waste of manpower and resources. The water quality monitoring system at home is just the collection of water quality parameters, and there are few studies on the control system. In this paper, based the above situations, the study developed a set of real-time acquisition, historical inquiry, overrun warning aquaculture environmental monitoring system which can realize automatic control and other functions. The main contents are as follows:(1) Describe the technology developments of aquaculture environmental monitoring system at home and abroad, as well as the working principle and technical characteristics.(2)Selected MSP430F149chip and RS485networking as the overall architecture of aquaculture environmental monitoring system, And the design of the slave station acquisition system Framework, the Slave station of Control System and PC control center is completed.(3) According to the actual needs, the hardware core board.. Sensor operational amplifier circuit and aerator control circuit were designed.(4) Introduction the RS485networking. To prevent the disorder of data, half-duplex bus network and a set of upper and lower computer communication protocols was designed.(5) The design of lower computer software includes the design of main function, sensor data acquisition program, serial communication, communication checksum, communications package, integral separate PID control program, etc.(6) The design of PC software includes the design of main function, data acquisition command sends program, data analysis program package, data storage program, real-time data display, historical data query, overrun warning and so on.(7) On-site commissioning is mainly used to test the accuracy and stability of parameters which collected by each system and the PC software completed the real-time display and historical inquiry.The innovation of this system is that its control part use the integral separate PID control algorithm to control the aerator, It can effectively control the level of dissolved oxygen in water; and the upper and lower communication protocol, the upper and lower computer communication protocols must complete the checksum, then the lower computer sent corresponding data from the station to the PC and the PC complete the analysis packages of the data communication protocol, the upper and lower communication protocol can ensure the accuracy of data’s transmission. The system designed in the program has a good reference and prospect in aquaculture.
