In recent years, the development of information technology is swift, classical theory of the treewhich based on advanced sensor and high performance MCU for data collection and processing arebecoming more and more common, in precision forestry survey. Biomass estimates of regional forestvolume, need to obtain a number of strains of trees in the region, average diameter at breast height,breast height and basal area,density,spatial coordinates coverage of forest vegetation of differentheights and many other features. Design a standing timber parameters acquisition system which baseon pulsed laser range sensor and ARM. This angle gauge measuring the tree based on the principle ofin-depth research, detailed study of stumpage calculation method to enable access to forestinformation time is significantly reduced, efficiency is greatly improved.Cortex-M3the kernel used in this paper for STM32F103chip core MUC to handle collecteddata, peripheral-equipped device include: control circuit of stumpage parameter acquisitioninstrument high precision pulse laser range sensor, micro DC motors, power supply and otherequipment. The hardware circuit design system includes a power circuit, reset circuit, clock, serialcommunication circuits, memory and motor control circuits, and so on.Control circuit based on thereceived sensor data, calculate the stumpage parameter and store the records within the measuringrange, measurement is completed can be downloaded via the USB interface all stumpage forresearchers to do follow-up studies of data analysis.STM32F103has30%faster than ARM7inoperational speed, there are so many advantages in comparison with ordinary MCU.Interior isequipped with single-chip microcomputer is uC/OS-II the embedded real-time operating system withmultiple task management features, achieve the opposite wood parameters calculation download,storage, USB and control of DC motors, and other functions.
