The Eastern Zhejiang White Goose (EZWG) is one of the excellent local goose breeds, which isknown for its rapid growth, high weight, superexcellent meat quality and disease-resistant ability.Meanwhile, the female EZWG has strong broodiness so as to low egg production ability, which can leadto low reproduction rate, the economic efficiency is hard to keep it work. Therefore, it is necessary tostudy the molecular genetic mechanism of the broodiness of EZWG, understand the genetic factors ofaffecting its broodiness in order to promote molecular genetic marker assisted selection in goosebreeding.Prolactin is a polypeptide hormone secreted by the anterior Pituitary gland and affects a variety ofphysiological functions in birds, such as reproduction, growth and development, osmotic regulation,metabolism, behavior and immune regulation. in poultry, prolactin mainly induces and maintain thebroodiness performance of mother birds.Follicle-stimulating hormone is a kind of glycoprotein gonadotropins, luteinizing hormone whichis synthesized and secreted by pituitary basophilic cells, luteinizing hormone is also a kind of proteingonadotropins which is synthesized and secreted by glandular pituitary basophilic cells. With thesynergistic effect of FSH, LH can lead to the ovulation of the mature follicle, form corpus luteum andsecretion of progesterone and estrogen. In this study, I adopted prolactin gene, follicle-stimulatinghormone gene, luteinizing as candidate genes to study the molecular mechanism of broodiness aboutEZWG. The EZWG came from the EZWG preserved population in Zhejiang Zhuowang Agriculture andtechnology CO., LTD. I collected pituitary from our egg-laying geese and three broodiness geese, thenstudy the expression characteristic of the genes with real time PCR technology. Results were obtained asfollows:1, PRL gene expression analysis during laying-egg period and broodiness period about The EasternZhejiang White Goose.According to the experimental results, it showed that during laying-egg period, the relativetranscript level of the PRL gene was1, the broodiness period was6.93, which was very significantdifference.2, FSH beta gene expression analysis during laying-egg period and broodiness period about TheEastern Zhejiang White Goose.According to the experimental results, it showed that during laying-egg period, the relativetranscript level of the FSH beta gene was1, the broodiness period was0.50, which was significantdifference.3, LH gene expression analysis uring laying-egg period and broodiness period about The EasternZhejiang White Goose. According to the experimental results, it showed that during laying-egg period, the relativetranscript level of the LH gene was1, the broodiness period was0.14,which was down-regulatedexpression, it was significant difference.
