Millet, Broom Corn Millet Row Weeding Machinery Research

Millet was also called unhusked rice which is the first kind of the five cerealsin ancient time. It is also one of the main food crops in China. It is characterizedby its nature of strong drought resistance and high nutrition. The value of its nutrition gradually draws people’s attentions and its strong drought resistance nature makes growing millet be of great importance to the adjustment of agricultural industrial structure. Thus, the millet industry is developing rapidly. In the north of China, the planting of millet is only second to corn and wheat. However, even up to now,the degree to the planting of millet in mechanical way is still very low, which restricts the development of the millet industry. To reduce field management during the time of millet growing, increase millet growth rate and guarantee productivity, itis necessary to develop row weeding fertilization mechanization. Thus, it is high time that we should develop a machine of row weeding fertilization which is suitable to the nature of millet.This thesis develops and starts research around field weeding, fertilization andridging operation equipments. Firstly, this thesis talked about mechanization of weedcontrol technology, fertilization technology and ridging technology at home and abroad. Then, according to five lines of foxtail millet gas suction precise seeder, themachine of row weeding fertilization is developed. According to the adjustment of the inline weeding width, it can meet the demands of different row spacing width. It also put forward and designed double half a shovel and the shovel type weedingwork parts. Finally, it chose the shovel type weeding whose structure is simple. According to the requirements of agronomy, the machine also added adjustable widthof ridging function and the function of adjustable row depth. On the basis of spuds,three ridging device is designed, namely shovel on the installation type, split type(including ridging board angle adjustable and ridging plate wing tone integral expression).By analyzing and comparing its structure, performance and machining process,I finally determined to use the two-piece wings long adjustable ridging device. Theory analysis and experiment show that the suitable temperature between the wing type ridging board is100degrees Celsius.This machine has simple structure and convenient maintenance. The whole field experiment showed that weeding rate, fertilization and ridging effect have reached the designed requirements.
