As a composite three-dimensional planting mode, Jujube and cotton intercropping changed thecotton monoculture layout, became a complex three-dimensional planting mode. By changing the cottonfield microclimate, affected the physicochemical and properties of soil, the growth and development, photosynthesis, canopy structure, yield and quality of cotton and jujube, etc. In order to reduce waterevaporation, improve water use efficiency, achieve the purpose of increasing yield and enhancing quality, through filming on the ground, covering grass, intercropping low crops etc.Setting three planting modes at young jujube orchard in Alar reclamation area: Keeping1.5m,1.0m,0.5m between cotton row and jujube row, labeled M1,M2,M3.Research the differences of cottongrowth and development under jujube and cotton intercropping. It is of great significance to theintercropping pattern selection. The main conclusions are as follows:1、Soil moisture content is the highest in seedling period, moisture content is lower in boll openingperiod. In0-100cm level,40-60cm soil moisture content the lowest. The whole, M2model soil moisture ishigher than other models. M1and M2mode’ soil temperature heating up fast, cooling fast too, have largetemperature changes. Under the M3, CK model’ soil temperature have less affected by time, M3and CKmodel’ deep soil temperature is higher than M1and M2.2、With the advancement of growth processes,N, K content increase, P2O5, organic matter and thetotal salt content decrease. The content of base nitrogen in M3and CK mode was higher than M1、M2, thecontent of available potassium in soil was lower than other models under CK, the content of availablephosphorus in the soil of M1and M2was higher, the content of available phosphorus M1and M2washigher, the content of organic matter in M3mode is lower than other models, the total soluble salt in M2、M1mode was higher.3、M2mode cotton emergence rate is higher than other, M1cotton growth period is shorter, thenM2.M2mode plant height, stem diameter, number of boils are better than other models, has obvious yieldpotential. The cotton dry matter accumulation of M1mode exceed other models, M3mode’ dry matteraccumulation less than other models. 4、In the seedling period, bud period and boll opening period, photosynthesis, stomatal conductanceand transpiration rate diurnal variation have the highest value at16:00.The leaf of M2modelphotosynthetic rate, stomatal conductance and transpiration rate is significantly higher than other treatments. After the blooming period, M1<M2<CK<M3. Different growth stages, the SPAD value exhibited lowerpart (the tip portion)> Middle> upper (leaf base) in the same leaf of jujube and cotton. In general, SPAD ofM2mode higher than other modes.5、With the line spacing decreases between cotton and jujube(M1'M3), cotton fiber reflectivityincreased slightly, breaking strength, micronaire is decreasing. M1mode seed cotton yield was significantlylower than the other treatments, however lint rate and before frost was significantly higher than othertreatments. M2mode seed cotton yield was significantly higher than other treatments, reaching3871.87kg/hm2.
