Discussion On Soil And Water Conservation Problems In Design Of Highway

Through the research paper situation and development trend of domestic andforeign soil and water conservation research, analysis of soil and water conservationwork in the existing problems. The concept of soil erosion and soil and waterconservation highway construction projects were elaborated, clear water and soilconservation program of highway construction project design and the importance ofthe basic content, discusses the types and mechanisms of soil erosion in the road, onthis basis, discusses the highway land and water loss Causes and hazards, soil erosionprediction for road and Prevention proposed theory.To maintain the stability of soil and water in highway construction, a detailinvestigation is required at very beginning, and then the prediction is made based onthe data. Following the ‘The Technical Specification of soil and water conservation ininfrastructure projects’ standards, this paper illustrates the basic methodology ofprediction and prevention in soil and water erosion. By the utilization of grassing andother plants, it is proved that the biology technology plays as a key element in the soiland water conservation. An expressway always pass through various regions,therefore, a segmentation of erosion prevention is applied to accommodate thedifferent climate in different regions.Based on the basic theory of soil and water conversation, this paper selectedDan–Tong expressway project which located in the northeast China as a case study,the detail method of prevention from the soil and water erosion is discussed. For theabove project, a detail investigation is provided, and the potential erosion quantitiesare estimated. Finally, a detail soil and water erosion prevention solution is draw forthe whole project site which includes the main structures, the temporary structures,the borrow/spoil pits and the new habitat for immigrator. Therefore, this paper provides the solutions for the key issues in soil and water conversation in Dan-Tongexpressway construction. In conclusion, this paper is a good study on the soil andwater conversation in highway construction projects.
