Forty upland cotton varieties were planted continuously in the years of2012and2013, compared with the cottonseed fatty acid composition and content, protein content, fiber quality traits, and so on indicators in different varieties, and analyzed the trend change between the two years. The cottonseed oil content and protein content were classified in cultivar by cluster analysis; And the correlation between the various indicators were determined by correlation analysis. The main results of the study are as follows:1. The average content of cottonseed oil was31.03%in the year of2012, the cottonseed oil contents varied widely from27.77%~40.36%, the variety with highest oil content was’CCRI16’, the lowest was ’Yumian11’. The average content of cottonseed oil was30.15%in the year of2013, the cottonseed oil contents varied widely from26.33%~36.04%, the variety with highest oil content was’TM-1’, the lowest was’Zongxu1’.2. The average content of cottonseed protein was40.08%in the year of2012, the cottonseed protein contents varied widely from33.97%-44.99%, the variety with highest oil content was ’Xiangmian16’, the lowest was’CCRI16’. The average content of cottonseed protein was42.60%in the year of2013, the cottonseed protein contents varied widely from37.90%~46.32%, the variety with highest oil content was ’Xiangmian16’, the lowest was’TM-1’.3. Different varieties of cottonseed fatty acid composition was basically the same, the main ingredients were linoleic acid, palmitic acid, oleic acid, and a small amount of stearic acid and myristic acid. Apparently difference was found in fatty acid component relative content differences, and the highest acid content was linoleic acid between each component relative content.4. By the clustering analysis of cottonseed oil content showd that’CCRI16’,’Jinmian11’,’TM-1’,’Chuanjian1’,were the varieties of highest oil content; Through the clustering analysis of the protein content showd that’Xiangmian16’,’Xuzhoufengfeng cotton’,’CCRI23’were the varieties of highest protein content.5. Through the analysis of40varieties of fiber quality showd that each type of fiber quality traits difference was very apparently. The best fiber quality was’Xinluzao20’ in the year of2012, the worst one was ’Jinmian11’; The best fiber quality was ’Lumian12’ in the year of2013, the worst one was’Jinmianl1’.6. By the correlation analysis between the cottonseed oil content, protein content and the fiber quality showed that and there was a very significant negative correlation relationship between the cottonseed oil content and protein content, that instructed it is difficultly to obtain a variety with high oil content and high protein cotent; And it showed that there was no significant correlation in cottonseed oil content and protein content and the fiber quality traits, which provided the basic conditions for cotton breeding of high oil and protein, and maintaining the fiber quality of cotton.
