In this paper,11 Upland cotton cultivars (ZM30, ZM32, Yahuamian 7, Xiangmianyan 5, Ciza 7, Xiangwen 2, Jinzamian 6, ZH1213, Ciza 6, Zhong 186 and Cikangza 3) which planted in 6 locations (Cixi, Hangzhou, Haiyan, Jiangshan, Sanmen and Jinhua) in Zhejiang province have been researched. The cotton characters were analyzed including lint, fiber uniformity index, breaking strength, micronaire, length, elongation, seed index, kernel index, kernel percentage of cottonseeds, Kernel/Hull of cottonseeds, phytic acid, phytase activity, K, Ca, Zn, Fe, Mg content in cottonseeds. The main results are shown as follows:1. The cotton seed index of 11 cultivars ranged from 7.78 g to 8.91 g, the kernel index ranged from 4.32 g to 4.89 g, the kernel percentage of cottonseeds ranged from 54.65% to 56.72%, the kernel/hull of cottonseeds ranged from 1.36 to 1.44. The cottonseed characters of Xiangwen 2 were bigger and better than other cultivars, the second was Xiangmianyan 5, and the third was Yahuamian 7. The cottonseed characters of Jiangshan region were bitter and better than other regions, the following region was Sanmen. The cottonseed characters of Jinhua were lower.2. The cotton fiber lint of 11 cultivars ranged from 42.01% to 45.49%, the fiber uniformity index ranged from 83.30% to 84.65%, fiber strength ranged from 27.74cN tex-1 to 30.57cN tex-1, micronaire ranged from 4.38 to 5.01, length ranged from 28,41mm to 30.91mm, and elongation ranged from 6.26% to 6.49%. The fiber of Xiangwen 2 was stronger, longer, and more elongated, its uniformity index, micronaire were also in the proper situation, the following cultivars were ZH1213 and Cikangza 3. The fiber of Sanmen region was longer, more uniformed and more elongated, its strength, micronaire were also in the proper situation, the following region was Jiangshan. The fiber quality of Haiyan was lower.3. The phytic acid (PA) content in cottonseeds of 11 cultivars ranged from 13.18 mg/kg to 14.99 mg/kg, the phytase activity in cottonseeds ranged from 215.96 U/kg to 289.38 U/kg. The phytic acid (PA) of Ciza 7 was the lowest, the lower was Xiangwen 2. The phytic acid (PA) of Haiyan region was the lowest, the lower was Jiangshan region. The phytase activity of Xiangmianyan 5 was the highest, the second highest was Yahuamian 7. The phytase activity of Jiangshan region was the highest, the second highest was Sanmen. The results showed that:genotype was a major factor influencing cotton fiber quality, while environment also play a certain role.4. The K content in cottonseeds ranged from 1209.33 mg/kg to 1285.55 mg/kg, the Ca content ranged from 6.97 mg/kg to 9.24 mg/kg, the Zn content ranged from 5.46 mg/kg to 6.02 mg/kg, the Fe content ranged from 2.28 mg/kg to 2.41 mg/kg, the Mg content ranged from 653.75 mg/kg to 704.00 mg/kg. The mineral nutrients of ZH1213 were the highest, the second highest was Zhongl86, and the lowest was Ciza 7. The mineral nutrients of Sanmen region was the highest, the second highest was Jinhua, and the lowest was Jiangshan.5. Phytic acid (PA) content in cottonseeds was negatively correlated with lint percentage, micronaire, length, seed index, kernel index, kernel percentage of cottonseeds, kernel/hull of cottonseeds, phytase, Ca, of which correlations with lint percentage, micronaire, kernel index, kernel percentage of cottonseeds were significantly negatively correlated; PA content was positively correlated with fiber uniformity index, breaking strength, elongation, K, Ca, Zn, Fe, Mg content in cottonseeds, of which correlations with fiber uniformity index, breaking strength, K, Ca, Zn, Fe, Mg were significantly positively correlated.6. Phytase activity has great influence on fiber strength, length, micronaire, K content in cottonseeds has great influence on fiber elongation, lint percentage, micronaire, length, uniformity index, Ca content in cottonseeds has great influence on fiber elongation, lint percentage, micronaire, Zn content in cottonseeds has great influence on lint percentage, micronaire, Fe content in cottonseeds has great influence on micronaire, length, strength, Mg content in cottonseeds has great influence on uniformity index.
