Wheat cultivar Xindong 18 as materials, used with dual-tube cultivation including a cylindrical tube concentrically located within a cylindrical plastic tube and thus formed two isolated regions trial. Research effects of 4.26 kg·tube-1, 6.12 kg·tube-1, 8.01 kg·tube-1, 9.89 kg·tube-1 four different quantities of drip irrigation(every treatment have four times drip irrigation)after Jointing in winter-wheat in 0~100cm soil layers of root weight, root length, root volume, root branching number, root vigor, sugar and nutrient contents of roots, chlorophyll, leaf area photosynthetic rate, transpiration rate, dry matter weihgt etc. The main conclusions are as follows:1.Increased the quantities of drip irrigation, Increased the depth of moist soil layers, mainly improved the low- limit of soil water content in 0~40cm soil layers, indirectly reduced the soil layers storage water consumption, which was the 60~100cm soil layers; promoted in 0~40cm soil layers secondary roots growth from jointing to flowering stage, delayed primary root growth in deeper soil layers after flowering, increased Weight of 1000 grain, improved water use efficiency.2.Increased irrigation, improved soluble sugar, sucrose and starch content of primary roots and secondary roots from booting to flowering in 0~100cm soil layer, promoted from booting to flowering in 0 ~ 20 cm soil layer, N, P2O5 and K2 O of root absorption, promoted the absorption and accumulation of carbohydrates of secondary roots is greater than primary root.3.Increasing the quantities of drip irrigation, promoted uptake of N, P2O5 and K2 O of leaf, stem and sheath from booting to flowering, increased content of chlorophyll and soluble protein of leaf from booting to flowering, effectively extending the function of flag leaf, increased the leaf area, LAD, maintained after flowering have high photosynthetic rate, transpiration rate, promoted the accumulation of dry matter, increased vegetative organs after flowering to grain dry matter redistribution.4.increasing the quantities of drip irrigation, mainly to promoted the growth of secondary roots in 0~40cm soil layers from jointing to flowering stage, postponed after flowering primary roots in 40~100cm soil layers, improved absorption deep soil water layer in the soil and nutrient capacity of roots, promote root absorption of nutrients, inceasing accumulation nutrients; maintain a higher flag leaf photosynthetic rate, inceasing dry matter weight accumulation, it is an important reason to obtain high yield, improve water use efficie ncy.
