Muskmelon is an annual trailing herb in Cucurbitaceae and Cucumis Linn. Powdery mildew is caused by fungal infection from Erysiphe, Erysiphaceae, Ascomycotion. The mainly found causes are Podosphaera xanthii and Golorinomyces cichoracearum. The relevant researches conduct in China indicates Powdery Mildew on muskmelon in C hina is resulted by P.xanthii.Identification of physiological races of powdery mildew is based on the world-widely used differential hosts of the powdery mildew on 13 kinds of muskmelon and conducted by identifying 7 powdery mildew samples in the greenhouses in Turpan in Spring and Autumn and even in the open air. This experiment involves an artificial inoculation among 6 generations of Edisto47 and Hami Jia Geda, so as to count the resistant and susceptible parents and F1, F2, BCP1, anti BCP2 generations groups, perceptual performance data and summarized the genetic regulation, while the resistant and susceptible parents and their cross-breed descendant are used to research and analyze the enzymatic activity of SOD, POD and CAT, and even the MDA quantity changes before and after to find out the change regulations of the quantity of relevant enzyme and Malondialdehyde and it relevancy of disease resistance.1. The result indicates that the powdery mildew in Turpan is mainly caused by the affection of physiological race No.1 of p.xanthii.2. Artificial inoculation in greenhouse in this experiment shows that Edisto47 is highly resistant to physiological race No.1 of P.xanthii. By the experiment conducted, the segregation ratio of resistance is in accord with 3:1 and 1:1 as assumed, which reveals that Edisto47’s influence on P.xanthii is decided by monogenetic control.3. By the measurement of enzymatic activity and MDA quantity before and after the inoculation of P1, P2, F1, it reveals a regulation of the changes and the changes shows a trend which proves that the resistance is related to enzymatic activity and MDA quantity.
