| Areca taro is an excellent material which can be both used for medicine and food. In order to select and develop the germplasm resources of areca taro suitable to be planted in Hunan province, this thesis introduces the areca taroes with large promotion area and high productivity and quality which are growing in Fuding in Fujian province, Lipu in Guangxi province and Qiyang in Hunan province. Moreover, through a comparative analysis of the growth characteristics of these three kinds of areca taroes growing in Hunan areas for cultivation test, the growth analysis and simulation introduced in the present study will meet the satisfaction of producers and customers to the quality of areca taro. And the research on the volatile substance in the thesis will supply the basis for developing new medicine in areca taro. With the study on the areca taro, the researching results can be found as follows:1. Prophase of growth (July2-July9), the differences of leaf area among the different three varieties are small. With the advancement of growth, the differences are increasing gradually among the three varieties, wherein the leaf area of areca taro growing in Fuding in Fujian province reaches to8907.73square centimeter per plant, which is lager than those of areca taroes growing in Qiyang in Hunan province and Lipu in Guangxi province by38%(28.3%-47.7%). And the leaf area of dry matter accumulation of areca taro growing in Fuding in Fujian province is larger than the other two varieties, and so is the dry weight of lateral root.2. The differences of yield among the three varieties are obivous, reaching to5%, wherein the areca taro growing in Fuding in Fujian province has the highest yield of1131.31kg/mu, and it is followed by areca taroes growing in Qiyang in Hunan province and Li pu in Guangxi province. Seeing from the yield characters, the length of the areca taro growing in Fuding in Fujian province is significantly longer than the other varieties, which reaches to5%, and the rank of the diameters of the taro is as follows:Fuding> Qiyang> LiPu, and the fresh weight and dry weight of the areca taro growing in Fuding in Fujian province is also significantly larger than other varieties.3. The temperature in the prophase of sowing areca taro is low, and its seedling emergence is slow, different treatment has a great influence on the seedling, the earlier the seed get sowed, the longer it takes to emerge. And with the increase of temperature, the time of the seedling emergence is shortened. Therefore, the early sowing has a good effect on shortening the time of seedling emergence and prolonging the growth time. Different sowing time has a significant impact on the growth of leaf area of the areca taro. With a difference of10day in seeding time, the difference of leaf area will almost be doubled.4. The main composition and quantity of volatile oil detected in the three different varieties of areca taro are significantly different, the influence of the main chemical composition and its content in the oil is quite obvious, the volatile oil of different varieties all have typical compositions. Comparing these compositions of the three different varieties, it can be found that there are16kinds of compositions are the same, and the compositions of volatile oil of areca taro growing in different regions have a certain degree of similarity. |
