Landscape Design Research Of Crape Mytle Gardens

The botanical garden is a garden style emphasis on special plants display and plant landscapes, it has the functions of species protection, plant display, science education, tour and leisure, so it has extensive application. Crape myrtle is applied widely in modern city landscape design, the construction of crape myrtle garden not only to showcase the crape myrtle garden application form, but also be able to play the role of introduction and domestication, resources protection. The author summaried crape myrtle breeding, application forms, Lagerstroemia crape myrtle garden landscape types, crape myrtle and cultural connotation, combining the on-the-spot investigation, studied the andscape design of the crape myrtle garden. The main results are as follows:1.Based on the investigation of crape myrtle built application in Hunan Shaoyang Shuanglong Park, it showed that special garden has the advantages of:①a rich variety of resources, form and color variety, high ornamental value;②the branches fusion is strong, we can weave various forms of crape myrtle bar scene;③it has diverse landscape application form;④it has strong geographical environment adaptability.2.Through the investigation of Hunan Shaoyang lotus nursery crape myrtle industrial development, it was found that more than50million crape myrtles have been produced. The construction of lotus nursery increased the farmers’ income, business efficiency, urban and rural greening; and it was effective in improving the ecological environment, promoting the development of Lotus Village Nursery Industry and rural tourism.3.The crape myrtle garden landscape design must follow the principles:theme, diversity, functional and artistic. The need to establish exhibition area, Lagerstroemia Lagerstroemia indica varieties bar scene display area and Lagerstroemia art configuration landscape display area; must be through the abundant background plant, to enhance the crape myrtle garden landscape effect in winter.4.Choose Shanxi Runzhou Ziwei garden as the landscape design example, outstanding ornamental, leisure, plant protection, popular science education and other functions. Through the transformation of the terrain, creating a variety of plant growth environment, as the main body to the crape myrtle plants, choose local native evergreen tree species for background plant, forest into blossom shrubs and ground cover plants, to evergreen the four seasons, the three season of flowering plants landscape effect.Crape myrtle garden construction will create a unique landscape for the city, play an important role for city residents regeneration.
