Sprouting is a common phenomenon in the plant kingdom, it is one of the unstable highly evolved characteristics of plants, part of the regeneration niche of plants, especially in woody angiosperms. Sprouting is an important way to keep updated of woody trees,it plays an important role in the population and community continuous and steady. Root sprouting is one of the main types of plants sprouting, Which predominantly basal stem sprouting and underground stem sprouting, sprouting is ubiquitous feature of plant growth in the geographical, ecological and taxonomic scale which phenomenon makes the plant expanded lasting resources, occupy space resources, nutrition reproduction after the disturbance. Root sprouting is one of the important ways of forest regeneration, this phenomenon can affect the direction of plant community succession and regeneration.Root sprouting as a compensation strategy of vegetative propagations,which mechanism of updates, influential factors, and roles in the ecology was always been a focus of root sprouting research. In this paper,Research object can be woody plants and it’s roots sprouting in Gutianshan 5ha fixed plot which DBH>lcm. we analyzed in detail the overview of root sprouting, plot roots sprouting ability, single plot roots sprouting ability, as well as relationship between habitat factors and root sprouting presence or not. The main conclusions are as follows:(1) There are 19535 survival growing seed trees in this plot,which belongs to 49 families,109 genus,and 159 species. Where a seed tree with root sprouting plants is 5400, belonging to 36 families and 78 genus 113 species, Within the plot of the total number of woody roots sprouting is 10313, which plots sprouting rate of 0.276, total capacity sprout roots is 0.528, and there are 46 kinds of species does not appear roots sprouting phenomenon which account for 28.9% of the total number of species. In this plot root number is between 1-5 in the vast majority of species which including a maximum of one root,secondly two roots. Root sprouting as one of the vegetative mechanism is not as seedling species vegetative (seeds vegetative) as a large number of base and obtain the necessary updates and niche expansion, but in a form of essence and less elite strategy appears. Within the community about 1131 plants dying trunks, which occupied 20.9%of root sprouting plants, the basic structure and stability of the community do not have much impact and volatility seen sprouting root for the stability of the ecosystem has a positive effect.(2) Many of the features displayed traits in plants can detect significant phylogenetic signal, but when application of the k value method Blomberg test the 5ha plot root sprouting ability of the functional traits it shows that root sprouting ability have no significant phylogenetic signal, in this Sample plot, root sprouting plant lineages distance between adjacent tree species as well as lineages root sprouting ability have weak correlation, they also shows the correlation between the root sprouting ability and evolutionary history and performance is not significant, therefore within 5ha Sample plot root sprouting ability of this Characters are not a function of the impact of phylogenetic history.(3) Tours test results show that different root species, have different habitat preferences, and some plants at an altitude of low-lying areas prone to root sprouting, but some plants tend to be relatively higher ground to produce, Even the same species in different site conditions, the growth of roots sprouting is also different.In this plot, Castanopsis tibetana,Castanopsis fargesii,Phoebe sheareri maily distribution of low-lying place,but, Eurya muricata,Corylopsis glandulifera,Rhododendron latoucheae, Schima superba,Lithocarpus glaber,Cinnamomum subavenium,Neolitsea aurata.et al,24 species in high altitude distribution,A total of 45 root species have significant correlationwith habitat in plots, which occupied 39.8% of root species.(4) Plot root sprouting ability have a significant positive correlation with increasing elevation, it is to say plots root sprouting ability have the trend tends to rise flows the elevation, Convex slope, aspect, has little effect on the plots root sprouting ability;Individual plant roots sprouting ability was significantly positively correlated with elevation and slope,the number of root of individual plants sprout was significantly positively correlated with basal area of conspecies and was significantly negatively correlated with plant basal area and dissimilar plant basal area, it also showed a significant negative correlation with fisher diversity index which Plants located.(5) Root sprouting presence or not correlated with many factors, root sprouting presence have a significant correlation with the altitude, conspecies basal area,and the plant itself basal area, meanwhile it is positively correlated with Altitude, conspecies basal area,and the plant itself basal area, but less relevant with the slope,convex degrees, aspect factors.
