Parasitic wasps are the most important natural groups in biological control, which also play an important role in great natural control of pests of agriculture and forestry. The bamboo pest species in our country have a great variety, which make serious harm. A resource investigation and research on taxonomy of china’s bamboo pests wasp had been proceeded by the author, and also done the basic biological research for one kind of dominant natural enemies: Protapanteles lamborni Wilkinson. The main conclusions as followed:1. This paper reported 29 species of 22 genera in 11 families belonging to Hymenoptera. And there are 19 species wasps which parasitic in bamboo pests was firstly found. It includes into 3 new toscience, and 1 new Chinese record specie. New species to China: Anastatus tianmushanensis sp. nov.; Meteorus lethe sp. nov.;Chelonus algedonia sp. nov.. The new Chinese record specie is Trioxys takecallis Stary, 1978. All of species are fully described and illustrated with keys to different taxons, biology and distribution, and new species are provided diagnosis.2. Algedonia coclesalis Walker has many parasitic wasps, Protapanteles lamborni Wilkinson is the most dominant species. Therefore, The author studied biological character of Protapanteles lamborni Wilkinson. The results of field statistic for the first generation of Protapanteles lamborni Wilkinson are as follows: maximum of male and female ratio up to 2.29: 1, minimum is 1.69: 1, which basically maintain in 2: 1. Under the condition of 25℃ in the lab±-0.5, eclosion rate of Protapanteles lamborni Wilkinson is about 86.46% and the first day is the feather peak, accounted for 59.67%, the second day is accounted for 36.67%, after is only 3.67%. Between 00:00 and 12: 00, Protapanteles lamborni Wilkinson reaches the feather peak, 16:00-18:00 is less, almost no feather between 22:00-6:00. When the proportion of male and female for Protapanteles lamborni Wilkinson reach to 1: 1, the mating smoothly;Protapanteles lamborni Wilkinson larve usually select three instars, or four instars.Protapanteles lamborni Wilkinson under 16 ℃ was longest-lived, if adding 10%honey water, the result went to 13.35±0.37 days, under fresh water was 6.65±-0.24 days, and in the same temperature, adult life of Protapanteles lamborni Wilkinson added honey water was two times the length of adding fresh water.
