Asian corn borer(ACB), Ostrnia furnacalis(Guenée), is the serious and harmful insect pest for maize production in our country. It did not occur to reduce the hazards presented situation on corn production in recent years.Experimental studies carried out on the occurrence of dynamic Asian corn borer adult population, different peak of male adults occur mitochondrial cytochrome C oxidase COI and COII genetic polymorphisms. Provides data for the inheritance of resistance of different sympatric. The main results were as follows:1.By 111,125 through 2013, 2014 consecutive days trapping monitoring in Gongzhuling area. The peak of the region in different Asian corn borer resistance overwintering adult high incidence. The fierst generation made a lot of adults around September20. A large number of the univoltine adult corn borer resistance occurs around June 20, A lot of univoltine and bivoltine resistance occur around July 20 and August 20.2.Asian corn borer populations of 15 different peaks were analyzed with the nucleotide sequences. The results showed high genetic diversity in mtDNA genes of O.furnacalis populations. 86 and 70 haplotypes were observed in COI,and COII respectively. phylogenic trees reconstructed from the COI microsatellite data indicated that there are genetic differentiation between univoltine and bivoltine. However there are not exit genetic differentiation from the COII microsatellite phylogenic trees.
