Triticale, the offspring of wheat and rye, owns the advantages including high grain and seed yield, disease resistance, cold and dry tolerance, and strong adaptability et al. Besides, it has strong hybrid vigour, high photosynthetic efficiency and good nutritional quality. Therefore, it can be used as the material to food, feed and wine. Genetic diversity, seed yield, herbage yield and nutrition of 30 triticale genotypes were studied in Lintao region, Gansu province. Main results were as follows,Inter-simple sequence repeats(ISSR) marker was used to analyze the genetic diversity of the 30 triticale genotypes. The best PCR amplification reactions(20 μl volume) were 1× buffer, 0.2 m M each d NTP, 0.65 μM primer, 1.9 m M Mg Cl2, 2 U Taq DNA polymerase, and 50 ng template DNA. PCR amplification was performed as follows: pre degeneration 5 min at 94°C; degeneration 30 s at 94°C, annealing 30 s at 52.3℃, extension 1 min at 72°C, 30 cycles; and extension again 7 min at 72°C.Twelve primers that could amplify reproducible and clear amplification products were selected in this study. The 12 primers produced 124 bands across 30 genotypes, of which 9 were polymorphic. The number of bands varied from 7(UBC857) to 15(UBC815), and size ranged from 200 to 2,200 bp. The average number of bands and polymorphic bands per primer were 10.33 and 8, respectively. The percentage polymorphism ranged from 33.3%(UBC825) to 100%(UBC808), with an average of 77.42% across all the genotypes.Via studying the seed yield and yield components of 30 triticale genotypes, the yield component which had huge influence on the seed yield was identified and better genotypes whose grain could be used as feed were screened. The results showed that significant difference existed for the seed yield and yield components of 30 triticale genotypes(P<0.05), the 1000 grain weight was the most important factor to affect the seed yield, the genotypes Beilian No.3, Beilian No.5 and An 83-25 had higher seed yield than the others. Therefore, the above materials could be cultivated in Dingxi region to harvest the grain as livestock feed.The results on the herbage yield, nutrition and comprehensive evaluation of 30 triticale genotypes showed that Beilian No.5, Xinjiang No.5, OH1859, OH2236, Beilian No.3, 826126, HH127, Xinjiang No.4 and An83-25.were suitable to be planted in Dingxi region to produce high quality forage.
