Rabbit coccidiosis is one of the most common and serious disease in rabbit industry for a long time. It is difficult to prevent and cure rabbit coccidiosis. It not only affects the production performance and survival rate of rabbits, but also affects its scientific value. At present, there are no available commercial vaccines. Coccidiosis is mainly controlled by anticoccidical drugs added in the feed and drinking water. But various kinds of anticoccidical drugs are used by different areas and farmers and changing pathogenic strains are complicated. Moreover, the drugs are not reasonable to be used for a long time. The resistance problem in coccidian becomes more and more serious. The actual drug efficiency is different. Even if some anticoccidical drugs are used, there is a chance to face with the outbreak of coccidiosis, which causes huge economic losses to the rabbitry every year.In this study, to master the epidemiological investigation of rabbit coccidiosis in Wen country, provide some important references and basises for the prevention and control in rabbitry, 428 fecal samples were collected from nine rabbit farms and examined with saturated saline flotation methods to determine coccidia oocyst in feces. The result showed that the total infection rate in rabbits was 78.0%. All ages of rabbits showed different degrees of coccidial infection. The infection rate(84.3%) and the infection intensity(average oocysts per gram feces 7.6×104) in the rabbits younger than 3 months was higher than that of other elder rabbits. 11 Eimeria species were detected in infected rabbits of Wen country, and most infected rabbits were infected with five to seven Eimeria species. E.magna, E.irrestidua, E. perforans, E.Stiedai and E.intestinalsi was dominant species.To compare and evaluate efficiency of the common drugs against rabbit coccidiosis and select the best drug, provide some references and basises for it in Wen xian country, the drug control test was conducted in the natural infection of rabbit coccidiosis on the part of Wenxian county area. The drug efficiency in prevention and control was to be synthesized by survival rate,oocyst output,disappearance rate of eggs, body weight gain, feed conversion rate. The results showed that decoquinate, Toltrazuril and diclazuril showed different degrees of anticoccidial infection ability, The effect of decoquinate against rabbit coccidiosis was significant, can be used as the preferred drug prevention and treatment of coccidiosis, toltrazuril was better than, diclazuril effect was not ideal because of resistance problem in coccidian, as the shuttle overlapping medication, or in combination with other drugs.
