In this study, desert riparian forest plant Populus Tarim River is the main object of study, combined with groundwater level data and River runoff data for each month, using cycle analysis, correlation analysis and Kendall inspection of mathematical statistics.(1)By analysis the two sections of the middle and lower reaches, p. the relationship between the radial growth, the results show that each section of populus euphratica radial growth has space and time differences. P.euphratica radical growth related percentage significantly, Upstream of the largest, the middle times, the minimum downstream. By Kendall inspection, the p. euphratica radical growth of the upstream, middle and lower reaches with consistency, the p. euphratica radical growth of the river and origin with consistency.(2) By means of the tarim river six different sections and the tarim river streams, aksu river yarkant river populus euphratica tree ring index variation characteristics of the study found, The eight sample populus euphratica tree rings of index increased with the increase of time, All show obvious fluctuation trend of fluctuations. Each monitoring section of p. euphratica radial growth is related to its tree-ring index significantly.(3) Based on 30 years of runoff in the study area and populus euphratica tree-ring index measured data,Get the cyclical. Xiaojiake section and xinquman section has the same cycle is 8a, yingsu section and yiganbujima section has the same cycle, aksu river and xinquma section has the same cycle is 11 a, yerqiang river and xinquma 态xiaojiake section has the same cycle is 8a, Aksu river runoff(1978a-2008a)and xiaojaike section p. euphratica tree-ring indices(1980a-2010a) between the correlation coefficient of 0.427, Significant level of 0.017(p<0.05), They present a significant relationship, Illustrates the populus euphratica growth in surface runoff lagging effect.(4) Through the analysis the relationship between p. euphratica radial growth and groundwater depth of Yingsu section and Alagan section of Tarim river, The results show that these two section p. euphratica radial growth trend is consistent, Performance in 2000 as the boundary, Before 2000, p. radial growth was slow, After 2000, began to lift, Rise is larger; These two section of groundwater depth also changes consistent, After 2000, the groundwater depth gradually rise; By using the method of statistics, It is concluded that p. euphratica radial growth and the relationship between groundwater depth were significantly related, As the embedded depth of groundwater, populus euphratica radial growth decreases.
