In this study, the difference between the experimental population of resistant strains and susceptible strains of P. Japonica on acetylcholinesterase and detoxifying enzymes, and establish the life table of experimental population of P. Japonica were studied employing life table construction and biochemical analyses.Comparative study of life table parameters of resistant and susceptible strains of P. Japonica was showed. On resistant strains of P. japonica net growth rate (Ro) was 241.89, intrinsic rate of increase (rm) was 0.152, the finite growth rate (λ) was 1.164, the average generation time was 36.05, population doubling time was 4.553; thus on susceptible strains of P. Japonica the net growth rate (R0) was 277.32, intrinsic rate of increase (rm) was 0.161, the finite growth rate(λ) is 1.174, the average generation time was 35.04, population doubling time was 4.317. R0、rm、λ in susceptible strains of P. japonica were slightly higher than those in the resistant strains of P. japonica, while T and Td in susceptible strains of P. japonica were lower than those in the resistant strain. It was found that the population growth tendency index(I) in resistant strains of P. Japonica was lower than that in susceptible strains of P. Japonica. Compared to susceptible strains, resistant strains showed0.80-fold I values. Survive time on resistant strains of P. japonica was longer than this on the susceptible strains, while the fecundity of resistant strains of P. japonica was lower than the susceptible strains, and peak spawning period also was shorter than susceptible strains;Resistant strains and susceptible strains of P. Japonica were close to Deevey Ⅲ.The enzyme activity of acetylcholinesterase, carboxylesterase glutathione-S-transferase enzymes, P450 were determinated employing biochemical analysis method.Between the resistant strains and susceptible strains of P. Japonica, the activity of acetylcholinesterase(AChE) was not remarkable different. This result showed that resistance of P. Japonica having little relationship with acetyl choline esterase. The activity of carboxylesterase (CarE) of Resistant strains of P. Japonica was 3.60 times the susceptible strains, the activity of glutathione-S-transferase (GSTs) of Resistant strains of P. Japonica was 2.28 times the susceptible strains,the activity of P450 of Resistant strains of P. Japonica was 2.48 times the susceptible strains. This result showed that relationship between resistance of P. japonica and detoxification enzymes were inseparable.
