In the recent several decades, the breeding of Dorkings caused the growth speed faster and faster, at the same time, the increasing speed induced the problems of quality, mouthfeeling and flavor declining. Therefore, breed the high quality Dorkings by hybridizing the indigenous breedsbecome one of the most important tasks to the hybridologists.The red label chicken is the special indigenous breed of TAIWAN, which had been cultivated decades of years by the SASO corporation of France and turned out to be a mature commercial breed for the high quality and sturdy growth. Our research plan to have the collection of the weights and sizes to the A&B Line Parent Stock of Red Flag Chicken ageing from 1st week to 18th week. During the investigation, we would complete the descriptive analysis and data deduction according to the daily feeding condition to support the following hybrid program and offer the feeding experiences and technical assistance to the local breeding industries in East China.According to the collection of the weights and sizes to the A&B Line Parent Stock of Red Flag Chicken ageing from 1 st week to 18th week, we could conclude as below:With the growth, the efficiency proved to decline, which have no obvious influence on the survival rate to the 16th week chicken. The egg shape index have obvious influence on the healthy rate but not to the 16th week chicken. The birth weight of the A&B Line Parent Stock of Red Flag Chicken have no influenceon the survival rate and the correlation between different ages is not obvious either.The changing curve of weight of A&B Line Parent Stock of Red Flag Chicken before feed restriction is basically like the S model. The weight and growth rate of cock are both higher than hen. We could properly simulate the growth program of the chicken by Gompertz model or Bertalanffy model which result the inflection point at the week 6.95 or 7.03 to cock and 6.10 or 5.82 to the hen. The most magnificent weekly weight growth which proved by the 3 models all resulted in the cock is more obvious than the hen. Among the 3 models, the Logistic growth model turned not reliable in the real production. The AB department parental red label cock turned out better on body length, breastbone length, shank length, shank girth, chest width and chest depth, but hen better on chest angle. With the growth, the correlation among body length, breastbone length, shank length, shank girth, chest width and chest depth became more and more closely. The chest angle have obvious influence on the weight to the A&B Line Parent Stock of Red Flag Chicken. The body length turned out had increasing to the chicken with the growth, however, other datas proved no regular pattern.
